Android check in fails, managed to do it on desktop.
One bright point, travelling on separate tickets and PNRs, BA has figured out 'To complete party' so was able to check in both of us together and get the same group number - so something has indeed improved over the old system amongst the disaster zone within BA's customer facing IT.

That is indeed a good improvement, I just hope it sticks and doesn’t get ‘enhanced away’ in the next upgrade! :D

Couldn't book a flight yesterday - kept getting the "something went wrong" message at different stages every time I tried. Gave up and booked with another airline. Same route, similar price, slightly different time but not enough to be a problem

Is the App working?
 
Trying to see my current bookings as well as recent flight (points/Avios) but App (IOS) keeps saying “ sorry something went wrong”. Have logged out and in again and same message pops up. This has been going on since the weekend……?? Wondering if this is everyone’s issue or just mine?

I came here to see if there is a solution to this problem, but it seems this is a perennial problem that just doesn't go away. It is just moving around users :D

Looks like day of travel and route dependent. As I am not travelling I'm afraid I cannot check.

For 3 weeks now (iOS app v6.7), I am no longer able to sign in on the App. I can sign in as usual on the website including from my phone (iPhone X) and the app works without sign in (eg new booking). But I can’t sign into the app or download mobile boarding passes. Tried deleting app and reinstalling, turning off phone and signing in with my wife’a credentials but nothing worked. Tried calling BA, direct message on X, and filing complaint on website. Still unresolved.

Perhaps someone else has experience. Not that it's a problem to scan at a kiosk, lounge or the gate, but I'm curious if the Android (or ipad) app can scan passports.

The BA app is showing my flight today departing from JFK T8 gate 20. Terminal 8 does not have a gate 20, at least according to https://www.jfkairport.com/ and the terminal maps I can find. This does not inspire confidence.

I assume you’ve gone to settings in the app and hit “clear private data”?

What happens when you try to log in? What message or screen do you get?

Also do you have 2FA (authentication from another device or one time code) set up on your account?

Sure there's a gate 20 at the newly done bit, pretty much under Chelsea / Soho? Pretty much tucked away in the corner (Right of the AA plane artwork as you face the walkway that goes down and up)

That's right.

The AA app has some up to date terminal maps. If you have the AA app, click on the up arrow above Find Trip then select Airport maps. JFK shows gate 20 in its rightful place close to Chelsea.
