I've had both those issues since the last update a month ago and the latest update today makes no visible change to them even with a purge of personal data and re-login. I'm not holding my breath for this to resolve itself until my membership year refresh in 2025 :D

Android app failing beautifully again today, unable to checkin, unable to download BP. Uninstall/reinstall no change. Check-in staff well aware of the issue, Play Store rating down to 1.8 (hopefully we get get more 1* reviews so we can get it even lower!). Twitter team just send the usual message asking for lots of specific stuff that's irrelevant.

It gets ever better! Yesterday I tried reviewing the app (before the news of the update came) in order to get a reaction by this route. I gave three out of five stars and began with a positive remark, to the effect that I normally find the app useful and sympathetic, then noted the problem as I have done here. I always try to express myself in a calm, polite and factual manner. Unfortunately, I didn’t save a copy of this review. Today I received an email from Apple:

Dear Carosa,
We are writing to inform you that your customer review for British Airways is not in compliance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, Submissions Guidelinesunder Section L. Due to the violation of the Submissions Guidelines noted above, we removed your submitted review as part of routine moderation practices, during which automated processes were used.

So I looked up Section L and it appears to have something to do with being a minor. I am not going to pursue this further, as life’s too short. But sometimes I wonder what sort of satire I’m living in.

Section L relates to Family Sharing. Only the original "purchaser" of an app can review it.

Ridiculous. Of course I was the original downloader and didn't just have the app 'shared' with me. But it's a waste of time even thinking about such pettiness.

I noticed a very slight change in the aesthetic of the iPhone BP from the app.

When I first saw the new BP I thought the background colour had changed but it seems like it's only the font colour that has.
And CE has been up/down-graded to business.

Not technically the best thread for this but didn't want to start a new thread just for this.

Checked in for a flight tomorrow and the iPhone wallet boarding pass issued has black text, not white text on it (otherwise it looks the same).

I wondered if this was related to group 0 (I know there was talk of separate BPs a way back) or just the app deciding to try something new. On the additional details the frequent flyer info is still just BA/Gold.

BP issued 24 hours ago is white text.

Nothing to do with group 0.

if you generate it from the new check in page you get the new style with black text and "business" rather than club. if you come out after checking in and generate the bp from the app you get the old style with white text.

apparently the new style ones don’t appear on your lock screen so I am not using them for now.

Thanks. I now have to decide which looks best to download. Black and Gold does have a nice edge to it but can’t beat a classic white.

Correct - nor do they expire from your wallet so you get a duplicate and the original lives on!

I’ve noticed over the past couple of weeks on the iPhone app that the “my account” > “account details” TP total doesn’t update for about 24hrs after the “recent transactions” page has and the exec club homepage has, meaning you can have different TP totals on the iPhone and the internet page.

I’d be overstating to say it bothers me much but it does add to an overall impression of being very, very sloppy.

Android app told me the app was too old and I needed to upgrade.

Went to the play store and updated it to the 19th June version.

Now when I open it, it tells me the app is too old and I need to upgrade. So that's nice.

Exact same here after updating.

Clearing all App Data allowed me to open it and log in. Amazingly, bookings all present and correct!
