Looking for some help here. It's a collection of firsts for me - first post and first attempt at redeeming miles so hope I'm doing it right and in the right place! apologies in advance if I'm not.
I'm trying to use miles to send wife and daughter Gatwick to Orlando on Virgin UC, going out 15/10, coming back on 20/10. ANA tool shows availability, but when I called the call centre a (quite curt) gentleman told me all seats (in all classes) were taken pretty much a week each side of those dates. Can anyone help confirm if seats are available on those dates per ANA and, if so, how I can convince the call centre to give them to me
Cheers

If that's the case, then I think it would only be fair to use the ANA tool as a general guide to when there is availability rather than something to be relied on as is normally the case when looking for Star Alliance partner awards.
m.
p.s. Virgin awards are very poor value compared to Cash & Miles redemptions on Star Alliance partners - would you consider sending your family via Frankfurt on Lufthansa or United/Air Canada to save a bucket of miles?

Thanks for the quick answer and advice. Main reason for looking at Virgin was it was a short(ish) direct flight but since beggars can't be choosers I'll have a look at Frankfurt!

I think this one should be merged with the main DC redemption : need help checking availability for.... thread.
Having said that, LX2151 PMI-ZRH 1735-1925 on July 23, 2009 has nine seats available in I class (business award), and none in economy.

Just in case you weren't just asking about the direct LX flight, there's availabilty in F or Y via FRA, and in C or Y via VIE or IST. And probably via other points in Asia if you prefer (and specify).
Hope that helps,

On the return (4-1-2010), it's also 2 seats in First available, and 9 in business
On both days, LX have 9 seats in business available on any of the ZRH-CPH // CPH-ZRH flights.
