Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but I have read the forums for a while and can't find the answer.
I am looking to fly ABZ-LHR-LAS on 30.04.10. Using the ANA tool I have found availability LHR-Denver (sorry don't know the code)-LAS. However there is no availability ABZ-LHR to connect with that flight.
Is it possible to book an award flight and pay for the sector that's not available or do all sectors have to be available?
I am looking to return 14.05.10, but realise these flights aren't released until tomorrow.
I only have 92000 Diamond Club miles and think that is only enough to get an economy fare.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have never managed to redeem my miles before.

However, you can spend cash+miles, so that's 25k+120 each in economy or 37.5k + 180 in business class. It's a no brainer...

Also on the ABZ-LHR issue..
1) You could go down the night before on BD679 @ 8pm and stay in LHR (2 award seats available)
2) Book the tickets via flybmi.co.uk and pay for them, although if that flight was cancelled and you don't make it to LHR on time ua/us(?) aren't required to re-accommodate you.
PS Denver = DEN

Welcome to FT and the bmi board luci5 ^
Your profile doesn't show any program affiliations, but if you're BD Gold, you can request an award seat be released on the ABZ leg.

The cost is 45k miles each for an economy return. Therefore you have just enough for 2 economy returns, or more than enough for a single business class return.
However, you can spend cash+miles, so that's 25k+120 each in economy or 37.5k + 180 in business class. It's a no brainer...

As it is still 330 days away is it just a case of keep checking to see if a Business flight is released? How likely is this to happen?
It's just that this is the first time I've ever see an award flight become available for the route and dates I want so I'm tempted to grab the economy before it disappears.

Could I still pay for the 0630 flight as I don't expect that would be an award flight?
I'm also keen to use these miles as my understanding from bmi's website is that my account will become dormant and I will eventually lose them if I don't use them in the next 5 months.
I did call DC and was told the miles don't expire so I'm a bit confused.

Actually, I might have been a bit pessimistic - didn't notice you were looking "around" those dates... 28/07 has 2xF to MIA, return 11/08 has 2xF as well (in addition to those I mentioned before). To ORD there is 1xC on 25/07, coming back 1xF on 08/08, 6xC on 10/08 or 1xC on 11/08.

Virgin Availability
All
Wondering if this thread can be used to check Virgin availability?
If so, I'd be grateful if someone could check LGW-BGI for 24/25/26 Aug, returning 3/4/5 Aug either BGI-LGW or BGI-MAN - would just be for one person.
Thanks in advance...
