I think maybe it was me that nabbed them as it's all booked, paid for and ticketed as far as I can tell. All in fare code I, I assume that's business on AC/BMI?

I books into business so you should be all set. When you say ticketed, have you got document numbers starting 236-xxxxxxxxx in the booking on checkmytrip?

No, I've just had the travel confirmation from BMI with all the details on. I can log in to the reservation etc. on checkmytrip but nothing with 236 in it i dont think. When should that happen?

Usually when it gets to the top of the ticketing queue. I would suggest that you keep an eye on it for the next few days just in case it auto cancels (if AC auto cancels)

Knew it couldn't be that straightforward... Having difficulties getting them to take the money - everything is fine except the name apparently, but I've given them the name that is on my card and am now bouncing back between my bank and bmi.
The latest my bank said is the name should be the one on my passport as its for flights, that seems odd to me?
Has anyone run into these problems before and can advise what I need to actually be telling them?

Name for oayment should match the card.
Especially useful when booking a flight for someone else. My frequent flyer points, somene else flying, I am paying so therefore my credit card name.

Can anyone confirm that it is the 'Saver Award' buckets of R/O/N to use when searching for UA availability on Expert Flyer?
I was expecting it to be the 'Standard Award' buckets for partner programme redemptions, but then these appear to be the revenue F/C/Y classes

Correct. UA Standard awards are effectively the same buckets as revenue tickets.
Just search for the following:
XF/R = Saver Award First
XC/O = Saver Award Business
XY/N = Saver Award Economy

if you are looking at revenue ticket LHR-CAI then the redemption you want is BKK-LHR which is fine. Just beware that on separate tickets you will not be protected if your inbound flight is delayed
