Just tried again - this time they ARE available but.... "...only if you make a seperate booking sir, otherwise they are not bookable.."......are they just making this stuff up? Silly me, of course they are. Am now waiting for a Supervisor.......

NRT - LAX/SFO - OGG would be a great option, but there's still no C (or Y) availability on the dates I'd want (Aug 5-10)

There are seats on the Aug-04 NRT-YVR-HNL (C/Y), but I doubt it would be allowed....

There is also YVR-LAX/SFO-OGG combinations with the Aug-04 NRT-YVR, but it requires overnights in SFO or LAX

You can however do LIH/KOA - NRT-YVR-SFO/LAX-LIH/KOA on the 4th at 17:10 in one shot

The return is much easier, on the 10th, you can redeye to SFO, and than there is C seats on the NH flight to SFO

Thanks G_G for checking. I thought as much as the ICC tells me each day. I am flying MCT-DXB on 31 Mar at 2335 in C on LX and then MS DXB-CAI-LHR at 0500 on 01 Apr. Not looking forward to MS but hey can't complain am relatively happy with booking. Outward journey LH LCY-FRA-DXB then 4 day stopover before taking LX to MCT.

Supervisor finally booked SIN-BKK in J on SQ x 2. Seperate booking & only charged me the taxes ^ All-in-all it took about 2 hours

Glad you managed to wrestle the seats from them. They fact that they needed to do it in two bookings could be due to SQ only releasing one C seat at a time and after you grab that one another one appears. Just guessing though. 2hrs is insane though even for ICC standards for what should be a very straightforward affair.

Thanks very much - yes insane indeed. No, I tried the "book 1 x seat and another pops up" plan but that didn't work - it seemed that the only way that they could book them was as a seperate resrvation. Odd indeed but it's ticketed.

Anyway I am pleased at it's my first SQ redemption for two years or so - since SQ started to act as though they are independent of *A

It sounds like what you've encountered is SQ's own version of married segments hence the need for separate bookings

Two seperate bookings and both with the connecting flight......had to book the connecting flights seperately or computer says no.....
