I have previously had no problem with emailing PDFs of my eTix and Boarding Passes. However this changed for my recent effort for a CO flight at start of April.
Despite my sending full details and clear color PDFs of my eTix and BP (with BD# clearly printed) they are insisting on the postal route. After first refusal I played agent roulette and now have had responses from 3 members of the team to this effect.
I have pointed out that the web form is broken
and does not print for me using IE6 or Firefox4. Half the info falls off the page
It seems to me to be a new policy, whereby they are sticking rigidly to the rules. Very poor, in this day and age that they are refusing to accept email evidence.
Note; I have had both the 3 month and 6 month timeline quoted in the replies

Well, it looks like they have been getting photoshopped submissions, so.
Yet another great feature of the programme wiped away by self-centred efforts of the <insert expletive>s.

I wonder whether the 20th century fax will do?
I expect you email it to yourself, print it, and return it back to them by post.
This is a symptom of 'process-orientation' in a corporate body taking serious staff cuts.

But don't they charge the operating carrier for the points issued to us, so something ought to flag up on someone's system that there is an anomaly?Originally Posted by GoldCircle

Hopefully they will close the a/c of any <repeat expletive>s doing this as it is a blatant attempt at fraud.
Also doesn't really address the issue as I often only have an OLCI PDF, which can also be manipulated in just the same way as an image (ie, I can change the text, but not sure what I'd do witht he 2D-barcode wotsit).
Just been advised by the bmi folks on Twitter to email again, fingers crossed.
I was told it had to be post cos they needed to avoid multiple claiming of flights on several programs.
A tip for those outwith the 3/6 month range is to say you sent it in to them and you kept a copy, then mock up a date on your letter that was within 3 months from boarding pass date, sign it and photocopy it and there you have it , they wont need to worry about you being out of date range as you "sent it in" they just didnt receive it

I really don't think that encouraging this sort of activity is helpful to the vast majority of us who attempt to be straightforward and honest in our dealings with DC Originally Posted by drspear

Works both ways though, they arent the best at some things, although excellent at others, its not like you are cheating, you flew the flights so you deserve the miles, just using artistic license ^Originally Posted by YorkieFlyer

I think that the photoshop argument is bogus as we know that (for many airlines) BD first check with the operating airline before awarding the miles....so even if you photoshop you would not get the miles as the other airlne would not want to pay twice.
My flights were with CO and BD have listed them as one of the airlines that they must check with first. I could understand the postal rule for airlines that they do not check with.

Does anyone have an BD e-mail address I can request missing mileage credit through?
