That's very useful, BA6501. Is this anywhere in the sticky? I have always followed the instructions on the web site and sent my missing mileage claims by post, all the while cursing that bmi doesn't provide a way to claim the miles electronically. If there is in fact an e-mail address for this purpose then it would be good to get it in the sticky (and maybe bmi might even put it on their web site one of these years).

Of course, you'd have to read the blasted sticky, then wouldn't you? If I were writing a sticky, I would probably place it is the 'most over-asked questions' section.

Just had the same happen to me - at first, got a standard reply much like the others further up the thread, but when I politely chased this up, got the following reply:

Dear sofasurfer,

Our process currently in place for claiming missing miles which is outlined on our website needs to be followed and we will be unable to process any such requests via e-mail. We physically need to receive your boarding passes, confirmation/receipt and the completed form before any such requests can be processed.

It may be that some missing miles requests was processed in the past, however, this was done as a courtesy at the time and does not supersede any current processes. Due to an increase in fraudulent activities on Diamond Club accounts, we feel that our process currently in place for claiming missing miles will suffice. If you have submitted a claim using our process listed and want to enquire any further information regarding your claim, please contact us via e-mail and we will liaise with our Administration team on your behalf.

Best regards

R***
Definitely a process obsession going on there but I take the point re. fraud (and most definitely agree with others' suggestions that they suspend the accounts of the offenders!)

Damn annoying, since it'll be at least 2 weeks before I can get the hard copies to DH...

I'm heading towards 7 weeks since last communication with DC on my Invol re-route on 29-APR....

I know they have to check with SN (the airline which re-routed me) or LX (who ticketed me), which I guess explains the looonnng wait.

Hi,

I tried the email route, got fobbed off twice. Pretty annoyed actually, well, I know what the rules are but I'm trying to claim for BMI flights, they know if I flew these segments and I don't think it should be so laborious.

I really hate that silly website form and my printer shares a similar hate for its format!

I like to keep all my boarding passes as a flight record, of course maybe I can request to have them sent back but will that really happen?

Regards,

claiming miles

Is it still possible to claim miles on flown flights within the last 12 weeks when I did not sign up yet?

Thank you in advance.
