I think this is probably the cause.

I think that the photoshop argument is bogus as we know that (for many airlines) BD first check with the operating airline before awarding the miles....so even if you photoshop you would not get the miles as the other airlne would not want to pay twice.
My flights were with CO and BD have listed them as one of the airlines that they must check with first. I could understand the postal rule for airlines that they do not check with.
