Requested: Cadillac SRX or any other large size SUV (I called the special reservation number to request one)
Received: Lincoln Town Car
On vacation at the Outer Banks. Called to request the SRX or any large SUV a couple weeks ago. Got to the counter and was told that I had a Town Car. The guy at the desk was either having a bad day, or just never has a good day. He said that they had nothing else for me, period.
Got in the Town Car and found that the gas tank was only at 7/8s and the contract said it was at full. Back to the counter again. I told him that it really isn't possible to only fill a car to 7/8s of a tank since i don't know how big the tank is. He says that he noted it in the file, but I am assuming that it will need to be full when I drop it off.
When leaving the facility it was disappointing to see a couple CTSs and Ford Explorers in the lot. I guess those are 'already rented'.
Heading back to ORD in 2 weeks. At least I know I will be treated better there. Sorry for the rant, but on vacation with wife and two kids we could have used more functional space.

I showed up at HVN and the girl at the desk must have been the sister to your guy. She said she had nothing else for me. No downgrades, no upgrades, no nothing. It was a crown victoria or walk to my hotel. In the lot, there wasnt a lot of cars (its HVN, I understand), but there were at least a half-dozen other cars ready to go. I was on the last flight in that night, so they couldnt be rented to anyone else as the desk closed in 10 more minutes. I love when the agents don't care.

Car looks nice, especially since it has 12,xxx miles on the clock. XM radio still works, which is a huge plus for me.
Visibility out of the back of the CTS Coupe is very, very poor. Also, the seats are extremely firm and uncomfortable. It feels like I am sitting on a phone book. Oh well, I wanted to drive the CTS Coupe so now I can cross that off my list.
