I asked the agent, thats an upgrade? How about the Eclipse or the Saab sitting on your lot? "No sir, I've already given you a double upgrade to Full-Size"

Looks like Avis's view of Hyundai as an upgrade is company wide. Maybe you can reserve a SAAB and get upgraded to a fine Sonata. I actually "downgraded" to an Impala since there was no leg room in the Sonata—I was still eating my knees when the seat was fully pushed back. I can generally count on the Amercian cars to have adequate leg room, but that's about the only thing I can count on.

Actually a pretty nice vehicle. I was quite satisfied. Always prefer Ford products over GM.

Is anyone finding it easier to get a Prius as an upgrade these days with fuel prices cratering? My colleagues were both offered a Prius at FLL this week.

Wanted a CTS or STS Caddy. They said they were all rented. We had decent weather, so it was not all bad having a convertible.

Well the Corolla certainly wasn't. Last I checked they wer still B-class, but I guess Avis has caught up to all the other agencies. Vue is probably considered F-class (intermediate SUV).

Received: Ford Focus... Yes, ok, not an upgrade, but a downgrade... It was that or wait for cars to be returned, cleaned, etc. BOS was out of cars (Tuesday 12/2, 8am). In good news, it did have SIRIUS, and actually wasn't a bad car at all. Would take the Focus over a crappy Sonata anyday.
