That's a pretty crappy excuse for an upgrade. About as bad as my usual Full Size->base 300 that they try to push on me. I'd rather an old Taurus over the bare 300's that Avis carries lately.

Its actually been ok. I need the luggage space for my team, and the leather, etc is a nice touch.

Luckilly, I have not seen these 300's...hoping they dont show up for me!

Reserved: Pontiac Solstice
Received: Mitsubishi Spyder with Rockford Fosgate audio system (~2,700 miles)

Thank goodness, because I hate pontiacs (the only reason I reserved the Solstice was because it was the cheapest available car on that day due to some weird yield-management thing).

Well, Intermediate would normally be a Malibu or Sonata. This Impala is not in too bad of shape really, there is no power shortage at all, and I like the XM. Call me easy to please.

Actually, in Avis's crazy world of car categorization, they consider the Sonata a Full Size!

I'll agree with you--I also enjoy an Impala with a few options. I'd gladly take it over most other full size cars or the usual upgrade: a 300 of any configuration. The only other full size cars that I like better than an Impala are the Fusion/Milan twins and the Camry, all of which are hard to find on Avis's lots.
