As of 2/12/14: We've had quite a few "Hey, come use this AWD. It's great" type of posts. When the AWD doesn't give a good discount, but is only posted to try to get renters to use the AWD of someone so the poster can earn free days from their Avis Corporate account. From here out, please put the company/trade group/etc that's associated with the AWD or we'll delete the post to keep it on-topic here.

I have a FL drivers license and I was denied using this code when I tried to use it last month in Florida. I have used it several times in the past with no problems in other states, but trying in FL was a bad idea.

AWD# H055100 is the Kamaaina (Hawaii Resident) discount and gives great rates for rentals in Hawaii but you may be asked to show a Hawaii ID.
Not sure if it works for rentals outside of Hawaii

anyone knows which cars in Germany are automatic once? On the Avis site they dont show which are manual and which are auto which is pretty strange because its specified on evey other rental site. Also why the price is quoted in USD? Thought it suppose to be in euros.

If you go HERE, you can see the Avis Fleet Guide for Germany. While the car isn't guaranteed (it might be a 'similar' car), they show if it's an automatic or manual. Also, what site were you looking on for prices? I went to avis.co.uk and it shows . If you're looking at avis.com, it'll give you prices in USD because that's the home currency.

I think the rates in the UK always include insurance, which would explain the higher prices. If you need the insurance, it might be cheaper to do it on the .uk or .de site instead of adding insurance to the .com site.

I use this Zurich Insurance Company rate all the time for the $33/day rate everywhere. Just be aware that you get zero ff miles with this code. I set up two wizard profiles, each with a different credit card to take advantage of ff mileage offers on one, $33 rate on the other. BTW, welcome to FT.

I try to book an minivan in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) for 1/25~1/26
using AWD#K444404, the price that gave me are 50% off..great AVIS code...
One more thing. I don't know if they will took that code off, when I go to pick-up the car..
and give me the normal rate...

Did anyone ever find the source of G930700. I just made a reservation and got a one way rental from IN to FL for a minivan for $48.50 base rate per day. The Citi Leisure code came in close behind it for rates also, so I may modify since I know the source and others have used it.

Code worked best!
I plugged in awd code j868801 to avis and got insanely better rates. I read throughout this forum that it's from the Florida Vistors Bureau and it's a safe code to use, but I didnt know if anyone could tell me what the Visitors Bureau is? I tried googling it, and was completely unsuccessful. Thanks.
Thanks!
