Question on EZE connection

I am taking an AA MIA-EZE flight which arrives in EZE at 6:20 AM and was planning on taking an AR EZE-FTE flight which leaves EZE at 8:40AM. I am wondering if anyone has done this connection before and whether or not it is a bad idea to try to make this connection given that I believe there is no baggage agreement between AA and AR that would allow me to check my bags through and avoid going through customs/immigration. I assume I would have to get my bags, go through customs, and then re-check in for the 8:40 EZE flight. Is 2 hours and 20 minutes enough buffer time in case of a slight delay? any thoughts?

Thanks for your help!

It will be tight.... hard to say for sure if you will miss it, but IMO I would try to book a later flight. Do you have a plan B if you miss your connection..???

I was just in BA and had an awesome professional guide, one on one, for three days at a very reasonable price. He's a sweet and trustworthy person and I can't recommend him enough. Send me a message and I will give you his contact info as I am new here and not sure I promote him in a post.

Please provide details.... private guides that are reliable are a scarce commodity.

My apologies for not reading all 171 pages of this thread to find my answer.

Does anyone know where in B.A. you can have custom tailored shirts made?

I'm guessing that a walk through Palermo will find me something, but since I've never done it, I'm looking for some direction.

We will be in EZE until 3 AM next month and are wondering what lounges are available and to whom? (CO PC members and probably will be traveling in FC on COPA) We will do the town between AEP and EZE but haven't staid up past 1 for decades!

You realise you can search within a thread right so you don't have to read the whole thing? Just click "Search this thread" and bingo! An excellent tool for lengthy threads like this one.

Having said that, said search using "shirt" brings up various posts, none of which are about tailor-made shirts but rather about pickpocketing, secret inside pockets and other delights ;)

I'm not a tailored-shirt kind of guy but check out this page on TripAdvisor which contains a few recommendations and may point you in the right direction

I have a great tailored shirt contact... but I cant find it at the moment, let me dig a little and get back & report.

Gladly! His name is Pablo Piera. His website is here:

You can watch a video of him here:

His rates are reasonable and he is very reliable. And he truly became "my friend in Argentina". And he brought me to the BEST places to eat! Highly recommended.

I'm considering taking a short ~2 day trip from BsAs. Is it worth going to Punta Del Este in May? Also considering Mendoza but flights seem to be more than I expected.

Definitely not. The season will be well and truly over by then and it's highly unlikely it will be warm enough to enjoy the beach. Mendoza would be a far better option. Other ideas to consider could be a couple of nights in Montevideo or spend a night in Colonia

Would Mendoza be worth going for two nights? The cheapest flights are by Aero Lineas but all the horror stories makes me a bit wary, though LAN is only slightly more expensive. I'll have to check the price of the Buquebus to get to Montevideo.

Gaucho100K Feb 14, 2010 5:06 pm

Yes... two nights will give you a good introductory trip to Mendoza.... if you are a real 'whino' you will be back again for more... :D
