On the topic of serious beef.... sirloin & tenderloin are the usual suspect cuts but for the real carnivore, when in EZE make sure to try the Asado de Tira, Vacio and Matambrito. These cuts are all about flavor, so dont expect an extra tender experience.

Bill, I sincerely hope you are correct - but considering we have Germany to play in the Quarters (if we beat Mexico on Saturday).... Im not too optimistic at this point.
To answer your question, there are tons of bars/restaurants where they have giant screens.... alas, the best place is called Locos por el Futbol, but you will need to reserve a table very far in advance.

I second Gaucho's Locos por el Futbol ("Crazy for Soccer") suggestion; and I'd definitely be planning in advance for even standing room may not be an option there.

Just wanted to revalidate that the international departure fee collected at EZE itself is still US$18. Is that right? (This is presuming the US$10 customs/immigration fee and US$2.50 security fee were included in the ticket price to begin with.)

Sadly, Argentina has lost to the Germans in the penalty shoot out. Argentina played a better game, was ahead for almost the entire game and had the good goal keeper out due to injury. I guess I will not be celebrating in Argentina.

I have the opportunity to visit BA for some days (10-14) August. So far I had no time to make any plans. However, I want to book an accomodation as soon as possible.
I'm not looking for miles in this regard, I'm more looking for a safe place, good location (for tourists, public transport access, near to EZE-airport) and prices (~40-60 pesos / single private room)... Prepaid SIM Cards at EZE
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to purchase AND ACTIVATE a prepaid SIM card at any location in EZE airport? I am traveling next week to EZE and would like to get a number the moment I arrive. I have seen that CTI sells prepaid cards at Farmacity, but do they actually sell the SIM chips at the airport that i can put in my phone and activate from there??
I am not necessarily looking for CTI... it can be Personal as well... so if anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it!

They have a location at the airport, IIRC on the left side right after clearing customs over by where a lot of the car touts try to pick up passengers. I don't recall them ever being a good place for getting CTI prepaid SIMs although at some point they were going to be ok for recharging the prepaid SIMs. I don't know if that is still the case or not.If you can't get a prepaid SIM card there by chance, you can rent a cell phone at the airport even if it probably won't be as good a value as getting ahold of your own SIM card via somewhere downtown.
