I can confirm that renting a movie through YouTube works for the Platinum streaming credit, I have received the credit today for a movie I watched on Sunday. Make sure you rent directly on the YouTube web site, because doing it through the iPhone app will bill through iTunes, which I think will not trigger the credit.

Consumer Platinum Card can earn a travel statement credit after they make eligible travel purchases through American Express Travel. The travel credit amount will be for $200.00. Platinum Card Members who renew their Card between April 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 are eligible for this credit.

Will Gift Card purchase trigger wireless credit?
On my Verizon bill I get a $5.00 per line discount for autopay combined with paying by debit card. My discount is greater than the AMEX Platinum wireless credit. Trying to figure out a way to take advantage of the credit. It appears that paying for a portion of my monthly bill with a Verizon gift card does not invalidate the discount. Hence my question. I may roll the dice and try it.

Nonsense is right. I renew at the beginning of January, so I guess I am out of luck.

To those that see the $200 travel credit in there online account, precisely where are they seeing it? My renewal is next month, don’t see anything online yet.

I paid $20 of my monthly AT&T bill on May 1, Charles Schwab Platinum, The $20 credit appeared on my account today (dated as of May 4).
For the streaming, I will canceling my ESPN+ and Hulu subscriptions (paid through Apple) and signing up for the Disney Plus bundle.
My annual fee hits in May - I will attempt to get a retention bonus but the card will keep the card this year. Hopefully I can use FHR benefits late this year or early 2021.

Honestly, I don't know why people are complaining about the Amex COVID response.
Just to report back, I prepaid my AT&T bill on May 1st and the wireless credit posted today. Paid $50 with Platinum, $50 with Schwab Platinum, $50 with Morgan Stanley Platinum and $30 with Green.

I don't think we know for sure yet. Technically, it's not explicitly listed as being eligible. However, HBO Now is listed, so many are assuming that by default, HBO Max will also be eligible once it goes live, but honestly, you just never know w/Amex and these type of credits...
