    • Google Fi - posted as streaming for some (plat - "GOOGLE *GOOGLE FI G.CO/HELPPAY# CA", pay.google.com, additional information shows "GAMES"); no credit on green (additional information shows "Axxxxxxx SELLER"). Not clear if this was a temporary miscoding since it posted as Wireless for several after May 22. UPDATE: GOOGLE FI still sometimes posts as streaming credit. Worked for me on September 14th 2020. Had already used the $20 wireless credit and paid another $20 go Google FI and it was refunded as streaming credit. My experience is that it works 50% of the time.

I can confirm that renting a movie through YouTube works for the Platinum streaming credit, I have received the credit today for a movie I watched on Sunday. Make sure you rent directly on the YouTube web site, because doing it through the iPhone app will bill through iTunes, which I think will not trigger the credit.

what is this nonsense of 4/1-12/31 renewal I think ours renews in November, but honestly this is just silly. So I have to wait till we pay the next fee? So unlcear right now how this will work.

Will Gift Card purchase trigger wireless credit?

On my Verizon bill I get a $5.00 per line discount for autopay combined with paying by debit card. My discount is greater than the AMEX Platinum wireless credit. Trying to figure out a way to take advantage of the credit. It appears that paying for a portion of my monthly bill with a Verizon gift card does not invalidate the discount. Hence my question. I may roll the dice and try it.

Nonsense is right. I renew at the beginning of January, so I guess I am out of luck.

To those that see the $200 travel credit in there online account, precisely where are they seeing it? My renewal is next month, don’t see anything online yet.

For the streaming, I will canceling my ESPN+ and Hulu subscriptions (paid through Apple) and signing up for the Disney Plus bundle.

My annual fee hits in May - I will attempt to get a retention bonus but the card will keep the card this year. Hopefully I can use FHR benefits late this year or early 2021.
Assuming your AT&T charge didn't post to include "Uverse" and was actually a wireless bill?

Nice for me - renewal is at end of June and I got a retention offer (crappy one though) last year...wonder if I should try for another retention offer anyway

I forgot that Youtube also offers rentals. I would imagine movie purchases would also count. Sometimes Youtube/Google will offer promos and/or match Vudu/Amazon.
Thanks for sharing.

My interpretation is that if you renew anytime between April and December of 2020 you will receive the statement credit. My Platinum is due for renewal in June and my Schwab Plat in July, I assume I can use the Amex Travel credit anytime between June 2020 and Decemebr 2021. My Morgan Stanley Plat is due for renewal in February, so I won't receive the credit on that one.

It's supposed to happen as a statement credit similar to the Airline Fee and Saks credits.

Honestly, I don't know why people are complaining about the Amex COVID response.

Just to report back, I prepaid my AT&T bill on May 1st and the wireless credit posted today. Paid $50 with Platinum, $50 with Schwab Platinum, $50 with Morgan Stanley Platinum and $30 with Green.

I don't think we know for sure yet. Technically, it's not explicitly listed as being eligible. However, HBO Now is listed, so many are assuming that by default, HBO Max will also be eligible once it goes live, but honestly, you just never know w/Amex and these type of credits...
