Quick Question: I got a pending status when I applied over the phone. Should I call the recon line right away or wait it out? What has been peoples experience regarding this? If this isn't the right forum for this then please direct me to the correct one. Also if you have the recon phone number that would be appreciated! -Thanks

I doubt that calling back will give you an answer either way. Seems like some department at Amex goes to work on your application and makes a decision within a week or two.

Is this the reality now? There is no Amex recon to call the same date if you get pending?

Not true... Called the recon 5 mins after applying and got it approved...

Received a Business 150k MR offer today 100k for $10k in first 3 months 50k for additional $10k spend in same 3 month period.

This is because American Express regards you, not the company, as the cardholder. The card is approved based on your personal credit, it is issued in your name (plus a company name), you are personally responsible for the debt, and while this card is open you will not be eligible for another bonus for the same card type, even if the application is submitted with a different company name.

I assume Ill get the 150,000 points even thou I did the personal AMEX for 100,000 or not?
