AMEX platinum business card, 150K MR with 20K spend in 3MO
 

I got a offer in the mail from Amex;

Receive 150K MR Points. First 100k when you spend 10k in 3MO additional 50K MR Points when you spend additional 10k in the same time period.

Can spending thresholds be negotiated with Amex? Thanks for your help!

150,000 Point (Targeted) Platinum Card Offer
 

So my friend was over for lunch and told me he received a 150K MR Platinum Card Offer. I didn't believe him, having never seen an offer over 100K ever, but he just sent me a picture of it. Terms are 100,000 points after $10K spend within 3 months, and another 50,000 points after an additional $10K spend within those 3 months. So basically 150,000 if you can spend $20K in 3 months. Has anyone else been getting such high offers, and are these common? That's a crazy amount of points.

This offer is great! How many Amex cards do you already have? How much total credit do you have with Amex? I would love to be targeted as well...

My boss got this offer today. Very jealous of his offers lately. 100,000 gold and plat and now this. He also has several companies that got this.

I also noticed they are offering the 20% bonus when paying for travel with points. That had gone away had it not?

Only on personal accounts, it remains a standard feature of Business Platinum Cards.

Wow. Incredible. I have never gotten a single targeted offer and always hope for a 100k...silly me.

No other AMEX now. My boss has been getting 100,000 offers for gold and plat over the last 12 months. He only has the US airways card and a GM Capital One card (despite my pleading for him to do better) About $25,000 average monthly spend.

Apparently, amazingly, there is a market in the activation codes for these offers.

A reader of my blog who had used a mileage broker got an email saying that if he was targetted by Amex for promos like this they would pay him for the code!

I received TWO of the offers for 150k pts yesterday. I already got the one for 100k last year (with additional $500 credit for AA only to retain me since AAdmirals Club access is going away), so I won't be using these two.

I wish I'd get this offer. But I always get the stoopid ones... from the the bank of Omaha....... I live in California.

I want this type of offers. Never get them and I only have Blue and SPG with Amex..
