Secure BXP1 upgrade before enough points post?
 

The points for the missing initial segments of my 2 segment flights last month posted...sort of. The "my account" point total seems to reflect the missing segments, but the flight list itself does not include them. The BE database must be running on a Commodore 64 :p

So I almost have a enough points for 2 BXP1 awards. After some early Aug flights post next month I will have enough. The flight I'm targeting currently has C4 availability. Is it possible to secure the upgrade even though I won't redeem points for the certs until next month? The flight is several months out so plenty of time for points to post and get the certs prior. I just want to grab the C availability before it's gone. It seems if the BE rep doesn't ask for serial numbers this could be possible, no?

Anyone received their bonus points for the AJB2Q17 Transatlantic promotion?

I emailed Business Extra customer support and they said the promotion ended July 31, so I should keep waiting. However, the Business Extra website clearly says it ended June 30. I suppose even by that date, we still haven't quite hit 8 weeks from the end, so I'll check back at the end of the month. Just curious if it's gone through for anyone.

My recent experience is the BE rep desk has not asked for serial/check code numbers from the certificates, so it should be possible.

Question - when redeeming an upgrade cert for the second leg of a multi-leg flight, is it necessary to present the paper certificate at check-in, prior to departure of the initial leg, or just at the gate on the leg in which the upgrade is being used?

They didn't use to ask for serial numbers or expiration dates, but lately they have been. I just redeemed another one for September and they asked for all of the information on the BXP1. So I would wait until you have it. I doubt they will give you the upgrade without having used your points for it yet

You will have to do both, I believe. Last time I used one, I had to present it to the lady at check-in to even get my ticket

how long does it take for points to show up after a flight?

They generally deposit points into your account on the 17th of each month or so

In terms of the posting issues - some flights have posted in August and some in July statements.
