I have some point expiring at the end of the year - do I just need to redeem them prior to expiration or does the benefit (award flight, upgrade, Admirals Club passes) also need to be used/consumed by the expiration date?

As a lowly gold, I'm 2 for 2 using these between PHX and EWR. I figure I don't stand a chance with stickers on this route.

You just have to redeem by the end of the year, then the award is typically good for another year.

Have 1 BXP1 certificate, requested upgrade for a flight via the website, waitlisted. Anyone have experience waitlisting the same cert for another flight in case the first one does not clear? (ie. request upgrades for two flights at the same time with 1 certificate)

I'm in the same situation with expiring miles at the end of the year and awaiting posting from several future flights to get me to the award level I want to take advantage of. With the ability to now book BE award flights, can these certs be applied to one of these bookings or must be call in to book and ticket with a BE flight award voucher?

Question - I booked 7 tickets for an extended family vacation in July. I got the credit for my ticket, but are the other 6 tickets eligible for business extra credit? I'm in the same boat in 2 weeks 3 of us going on a trip I booked.

If your family is like mine, they all work for the family business. You can submit the request through the web site or by calling. You will need the ticket numbers, I believe. Also, you can add the BE number to existing reservations. |
Can BXP1 be used to upgrade an award ticket? The terms don't exclude T fare class, and nothing says otherwise. Not sure and thus curious.

Also not valid for domestic J to F upgrades (mileage upgrades and SWUs only for these).

Does anyone have any experience with BXP3s in IRROPS? Are they treated the same as SWUs, in that you're basically treated as a J passenger?

Since I don't see it anywhere on here, a quick note for anyone who might be interested: business extra has a new promo code of UPGRADE19. Signup to the program with it to get 650 points after flying within 30 days.

I’m guessing it’s targeted. It’s not working for me. I think this is for new account registrations only |
