if you take a cab, get out at the first set of doors, the flagship check in area looks like this when you walk in:

the only thing to the "right" of it (assuming you're facing the terminal as you enter from the curb) is the elevators/corridor

Separate entrance, but it basically feeds into the TSA Pre-Check line. There isn't a special Flagship First security line, as far as I'm aware.

If you're coming from the AirTrain, it is best to take the elevators, as they basically drop you right by the Flagship First entrance.

Correct, but if it's operating like it should, an agent will escort you to the front of the Precheck line.

We were in F yesterday and the agent took us to the front of the regular line. When we used it due to status only they did not do that. That’s at JFK.

I had my first pushback for use of Flagship Check-In at ORD last week.

Agent asked for my name peering down at the list and I said as a OW Emerald I wouldn't be on the list and was getting my BA Gold card from my wallet. She asked if I was Concierge Key and when I said I wasn't she tried to direct me to the regular Priority check-in area. I was about to get my phone out to pull up the AA website on my phone when she told me "FINE!" in a rather passive aggressive way and let me enter.

This is hardly a new rule and is pretty black and white, if you're a non-AA OW Emerald then you can use Flagship Check-In regardless of your destination/COS etc. Never had any quibbles in dozens of uses at JFK (never even had to show my card or anything) nor the handful of times I've used it at LAX.

There is a separate line for Pre-Check - it is to the right against the wall. You come out of FF check-in and stay along the wall. It goes all the way to the front.

While it's not a new rule, staff are given lists and told if not on the list then no entry* and forget/miss the footnote.

*unless non AAdvantage oneworld Emerald flying on AA.

I now see that Flagship First checkin has a different set of criteria than the Flagship Lounge - and LAX-JFK must be in F to get it, so it's probably a moot question for LAX-BOS J.

The TSA person sent a non-Pre guy to the priority line—presumably to the head of the line.
