I was able to receive the exact language of the company policy from American Airlines today via Twitter regarding PDB's. I was actually quite impressed they followed up with me regarding a conversation that started a few days ago. I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

So there you have it.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG No #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Full #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed
This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

16 AUG AA2793 MIA-DEN No PDB.
19 AUG AA2323 DEN-MIA No PDB. Also skipped me when taking meal orders, assumed it was because I pre-ordered, then served only two meals so I presumed that there was a service issue (turns out that of 16 FC pax only three of us wanted to eat); it wasn't until I saw the FAs eating that I asked about it and was served a lukewarm meal. I need to rethink paying for FC - there's definitely a reason AA isn't seeing "premium revenues" and they'll most likely stop seeing them from me.

Offered choice of PDB both ways. FA was awesome on the flight home and spent the entire flight running the aisle making sure nobody ever had an empty glass at any time. It’s a shortish flight, and often they will only do one round & disappear until landing. This was above and beyond and everyone appreciated it, perfect for a Friday afternoon flight home.
(Also really enjoying the chicken salad, had it on both flights)

In the past I would chime in to note the flights operating via PMUS hubs, but the past month or so, I've been batting over 50% from PMAA crews ex-ORD and ex-MIA for PDBs. Maybe this service is finally being standardized... ^
