If there's no A inventory available, any upgrades would indeed be waitlisted. Just keep in mind that stickers cannot be used to upgrade from business to first, so you'd be looking at miles+copay, SWU or Business Extra certs.

MIA-LAX 77W F sold out most days for next 2 months?

The 5 PM flight from MIA-LAX on the 77W... I look at the rest of January and F is sold out nearly every day. It is also sold out on over 50% of all flights during the entire month of February.

Does anybody know what is going on with these flights? J seems to be pretty busy as well..

Is there massive paid F cabin demand on this particular route?

Just to give an idea....

Only 12 days of the 29 days of February are not sold out in F.

Seat maps are occupied on most of those F0 days, so it definitely doesn't look like AA monkeying with inventory. At the risk of sounding flip, I suppose if they're all taken then there must necessarily be demand?

Any chance that they aren't sure the 77W is going to be operating with regularity on the route?

MIA-LAX 77W F sold out most days for next 2 months?

I saw the same thing a while back. Some days J would be sold out on every flight. The next day it was wide open. Keep checking. Something funny here.

Correct, I wasn't suggesting that AA was zero'ing out the cabin, rather it appears people are paying for these seats. But, at $2,190 each way in F on the MIA-LAX-MIA route on the 77W, it is surprising that the cabins appear full for months out. I rarely recall seeing F cabins full on any flight operate by an airline, on a random date 1.5 months in the future, let alone 50%+ of those days so far in the future.

5 PM is a popular flight time. I suspect a lot of people are paying a bit less than $2190

I grabbed 1A on the 11am lunchtime 77W flight LAX-MIA in March on Easter Sunday. What seems to be going on is that, on at least some international fare connections, A to I is pricing like I to I, much as it would if this were a two class plane. At least that's what happened for me (so of course I grabbed the space and ran). Bit extravagant to do SFO-LAX-MIA-LHR instead of SFO-MIA-LHR, but the extra 60TPs on BA and the nice plane will go a ways to making up for it

77W snack bar on MIA-LAX?

Hi all,

I'm flying MIA-LAX next week on the 77W and I'm FINALLY(!!!!!) getting to try the new J seat. I pretty much know what to expect (amenity kit, etc.) but I can't find anywhere if the walk-up snack bar will be "open" during the flight. Anyone know??

Yes, there will be something, but nothing like international. Bags of Kettle chips, Smart Popcorn, Snyders pretzels. Some nuts, cookies, candy and fruit.

This. A couple of standard domestic snack baskets sitting there along with some plated chocolates and small desserts and some biscotti. When compared with the original international offering, pretty disappointing. Also some bottles of wine and prosecco. I went to pour my own but an FA finally showed up and offered to pour it for me.

There is very heavy paid F demand on this route, also re mid-January, it's NAPTE. The television industry migrates en mass to Miami.
