Been following similar on extension of the 777-300 for LAX-SYD. The schedule is currently only showing 3 class service through 4 November. Is AA likely extend further?

Agreed Bummer! Flagship on a 777 vs 32B was a no-brainer, IMO. Why climb over? Loved FFD in MIA, perhaps it was more the server than the food, so kudos to Viv at MIA FFD!

Well, changed my booking on AA314 from MIA-LAX in mid-January to be on a 772 on AA2289 instead (leaving at 17.29; there's also AA396 at 9.00 on a 788). Decided to splurge on Flagship for an extra $500 over the economy ticket I'd previously booked. Fingers crossed that AA doesn't pull any more switcheroos on the equipment.
