MIA-LAX 77W / 777-300ER rotation - and service etc. discussion

Effective December 17th, 2015, Miami-Los Angeles will have a daily 77W rotation:

AA 252 LAX 0900-1647 MIA Daily 77W
AA 1248 MIA 1700-1944 LAX Daily 77W

Without knowing any better, looks like the plane might do SYD-LAX-MIA-LHR and LHR-MIA-LAX-SYD.

Holiday season only, at least for now. Saturday's schedule load pushed previously loaded 3 cabin to 2 cabin. Folks in J are being temporarily bumped to F but as always, AA will downgrade those booked in J/C/I back into J in the next coming weeks

The schedule is not uploaded past 1/4/16. It should be indefinite.

As long as LAX-SYD lasts, maybe. And as QF is dropping one LAX-SYD flight, AA will probably have decent loads on the Sydney route but it's an overall capacity reduction.

this is awesome news. did AA get delivery of more 77W by any chance or just shuffling planes around?

JFK<>LHR is losing a fair bit of 77W lift to help make room for SYD around the same time as this change. My guess is that this is all part of the shell game that is involved in making best use of these airframes.

A rare bit of good news from AA! This will definitely be the best domestic product flying at AA, including the A321T.

It's too bad they can't figure out a way to make MIA-LAX all premium equipment and dump some of those P.O.S. 737 and A321S aircraft from the route. Unlike JFK-SFO/LAX you still get a fair mix of unfortunate planes on MIA-LAX so the times for international equipment have to line up to make it interesting.

Does anyone know why business class is shown as "unavailable" for sale even thought he seat map indicates there are tons of empty seats in business cabin?

this is great news! I just wished the schedule would have allowed a quick same day r/t on the same aircraft!
