ORD-FLL-ORD-LAX-ORD 15198 EQM 2.9 cents DEQAA+DEQ11

This routing is not necessarily as lucrative as others posted on here but it was my first stab at it. Lots of availability in January and about $60 cheaper if done midweek.

The fare was 436.80 departing Friday morning return via red-eye - also can be done with an overnight at LAX. Total miles 15198 (1182x4 + 1745*6 for IL resident) Midweek the fare was was $389.00

Any better suggestions out of ORD or MKE greatly appreciated. Only can do weekends.

Never mind .... Don't know why I could not see the 219 fares on AA.com before. ORD-LAX at 219 is a better deal than what I originally booked if I did my math right.

This is not as good as my BOS-HKG fare, but this one doesn't need a passport!

BOS-JFK-LAX-HNL-LAX-SAN-DFW-BOS. 11306 EQMs with elite minimums, DEQAA making it 22612. $684.31 confirmed bookable on AA.com, ITA was giving me slightly less so maybe a few extra $ can be worked from it. Can route via just ORD-LAX or DFW-LAX both ways for slightly more miles if you qualify for DEQ11, not sure too many people flying from BOS or HNL could take advantage of that though (I'm sure there are some folks out there!). In multi-city, go BOS-JFK-HNL-SAN-BOS. Same day return (though this takes 2 days, you get 2 hours on the ground in HNL!) possible on 1/24-1/25. Longer stays in HNL good too if you want to soak up some sun . 3.03 cpm with DEQAA.

Looking at flying DFW-LAX-ORD-LGA RT to take advantage of both DEQAA and DEQ11 promotions. Am I correct in assuming that I need to book as 3 separate RTs - DFW-LAX RT, LAX-ORD rt, and ORD-LGA rt - to get the DEQ11 bonuses? If so, there's a risk of misconnecting if there are irrops and having trouble rescheduling with separate tickets.

I found a lucky $1100 from BOS-NRT on AA metal (~32550 eqm); however, I'm being fancied by $300 outbound, $800+ inbound. That's ridiculous.

Remember Q cannot use E-VIPs.

These are $600 fares AI, if anyone were to ask me. :-:

Holiday Inn Golden Mile 15,000 PC Points + $60.00 USD. That's the deal to go with during hotel room inflation in Hong Kong, I think.

Incorrect. BOS-NRT in Q can definitely be upgraded with SWU or miles+copay.

I think it is cheaper (and more miles) to go to BKK or MNL for about the same price

Just another vacation 2 long weekends with a longer flight in the middle

JFK-LAX-NRT-LAX-DFW-LHR-RDU-LGA $1361 a.i. Using gift cards OOP = $1225
Total potential eqms w/bonus 47338.
My gain will be 43156 as the last two segments will be flown in February
Not a great cpm (2.8) but than again Tokyo and London
Each and every one of you needs to hope my SWU clears for the middle segment and my friend is able to get me an EPL ticket while in London.

For those that also receive DEQ11 bonuses, the take on this one rises to ~48,564.

Can someone explain to me if I fly before Dec 31st of 2011 will it count towards my status of this year for next year exp?

Bonus elite qualifying miles earned in conjunction with flight activity during 2011 will count towards your 2012 membership year;

If you fly before 12/31 it will count towards elite status from 3/1/2012 through 2/28/2013. Starting after 1/1 DQEMs count towards elite year ending 2/2014.

So then there is no point rushing to fly at the end of this year.
I'm at 63,000EQM and I thought since I just flew to PVG the DEQM will kick in and I'll be at 83,000EQM so I would only need 17,000EQM left.

I am not good with math that involves anything beyond fingers and toes.
It is pure luck that I get to 100,000 every year.

Now this is where it gets a little confusing. You must fly the miles by the end of the year. However, the level of status that you obtain is then good for the next 14 months or through February of the next year.

So if I had not flown 100K miles this year I would still have EXP status through 2/29/2012. In other words, you get an additional two months of status even though you must qualify within a calendar year.
