Back in late November, I booked 10x JFK-SFO-LAX-SFO-JFK same day r/t in mid January for $265 a/i each. Lucky me, now i can be EXP in Feb 
Same route costs $320 now, but with promo code 4412AZ will bring down to $293 for 5846 miles or 11692 after DEQM. Promo code 4412AZ works only for JFK-LAX and available only between 1/16-1/25

SEA-ORD-NRT-MNL return for $808 Only 50% EQM on the NRT-MNL as it is a JL Q fare segment.

I'm doing IAD-LAX non stop at a base OW EQM of 2288 - departs 8:15 am and you would get home at 11:25 p.m.
the DCA-DFW-LAX only nets 139 miles more base EQM OW which is not enough extra mileage (556 per RT with 2XEQM) for me to take the additional time and connections (esp in the winter)

For January, there are many dates, including Sundays for LGA/STL/ORD/LGA for $166 ai. Gives you just over 4K EQMS with DEQMs. Of course its Chicago/STL in the dead of winter but have some faith in the airline gods.
