I'm guessing that since there were some EQM promos and such in 2021, that whatever criteria they used to target the emails didn't take those into account. Maybe it just counted base miles and sent them off.

2023 Fast TrackIf you were unable to requalify for the status you held in 2022, you have a second chance. To earn back your status through December 31, 2023, earn the following number of base flight miles between January 13 and April 13, 2023. Terms and conditions apply. Eligible members will be automatically enrolled in the offer after year-end and will receive an email from Alaska by the second week of January.
MVP members: 5,000 miles
MVP Gold members: 10,000 miles
MVP Gold 75K members: 20,000 miles

I just called in, was on hold for 10+ minutes, and the agent said there was an email glitch and a lot of people are calling in about it. She confirmed that I could re-qualify for 75K despite receiving the MVPG email (I was 75K last year).

My wife was MVP and received no email.
This is utterly confusing, and if I wasn’t a reader of this thread, I would probably think AS isn’t actually offering me anything and throw the email in the trash. So it is plain stupid that they aren’t planning to send out corrected emails.
And I will hit up chat to confirm that I can qualify for Gold (don’t think I will go for 75k) so I have a “written” proof when the second part of this promo implementation fails, too.

Is there any way to see if your status was granted by a promo? My wife is MVPG. She called a couple weeks ago to see if she was eligible for Fast Track and was told no. She got the email mentioned above. Hypothetically, she could have earned MVP normally and then MVPG through a promo.
In addition, if she flies 5k miles to requalify for MVP and keeps flying to get MVPG, do those 5k miles count towards the 40k for Gold?
