The chicken breast was dry, as expected, but still tasty. The saffron rice and lemon meringue were very good. Still better than what most other airlines are serving these days. No cookies were offered on the flight.

I thought the cod was...fine? To me it seemed mildly flavored and the cod was cooked well and not dry. Overall, it tasted like a lighter/healthier meal. Also, mine definitely looked less black than the one in gold10829's post. Our F/A also wrote different quotes for each of our meals which I thought was interesting.

No plated dessert meant the cookies came out, which ended up being southern toffee with nuts (maybe pecans?), and as expected, delicious.

Cod was really dry. However couldn’t complain as I was hungry. Snack basket came out 1 hour prior to arrival. Cookie was given shortly after meal was cleared

Drinks were served with a decent sized bag of Chex mix, which was pretty good. I enjoyed a few of the Fremont Lush IPA. I’d pre-ordered the Roasted Chicken Clementine which is pictured below. It was pretty decent tho unremarkable and came with a lemon meringue tart. Service was very good and professional with a pass of the snack basket around an hour out of DCA.

This was my first transcon since COVID, but things mostly seemed normal except the coffee was in paper cups. My wife and I pre-ordered the kale bowl, which we both thought was pretty tasty. My neighbor had the onion frittata, I passed on that as I hate onions but it also looked pretty good. My son pre-ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which came with yogurt. There was one pass of the snack basket about an hour before landing; I selected the pea-toes based on reviews here and was not let down. We landed around an hour early due to favorable winds, all in all a very smooth flight although JFK Terminal 1 is pretty sad these days.

I was hesitant but tried the Bahn-mi. It was OK. The pickled slaw and Sriracha really made the sandwich. The bread was a bit too thick and some small bits were very soggy. Also, the banhmi had this sauce (Sriracha mayo???) that didn't really belong in a banhmi, imo. Overall though, it was fine. I woke up hungover that day so the carby bread was really appreciated. 😂

This was MUCH tastier than it looked - I really enjoyed it! Excellent service from the flight attendant in First, who gave me a warm welcome as a oneworld frequent flyer.

LAX-CUN
Lunch:
Entrée Salad with egg. (Other option was Beef Sandwich)
This was ok - the cauliflower was marinated in curry, which overwhelmed the flavor of the dish.

Both meals were delicious. The breakfast was very filling, as was the dinner. I know it has been mentioned before, but I can't get over the fact that it's a real filet! I would pay $35 in a restaurant and be happy. It's also great to see that even the disposable napkins retain the button hole.

You mean F received a fruit and cheese plate. I hate to repeat myself (ok, maybe not hate) but the main cabin received a fruit and cheese platter.

Your glass seems half empty these days, thankfully mine is half full! My comment still stands as this would still apply to a large % of flights from HI to the West Coast. I've actually been on the phone w/customer care regarding something else, so at the end segued into this discussion. The agent actually just heard about this from an internal Facebook employee group, as nothing has even been sent to them yet, but she's assuming it will be tomorrow with the launch. She's going to email the Inflight F&B team now and investigate it further and update me via email when she hears back. As an aside, she was also a huge fan of the soup service on the red-eyes, and is hoping that at a minimum, it'll be slightly enhanced from just the F&C for those flights. So we'll see...

Mods - we probably need a clean-up on Aisle 3, all of these latest posts should probably be moved to the other F class comment thread.

Peppered to perfection! Great Idea, I think I will start carrying a small pepper grinder with a mix of red, green, white & black peppercorns in my carry-on.

Is more possible? Install a warming lamp in your bedside table drawer to get you through the night. White sheets not recommended.

Has anyone had either of these? Flying to KOA this week and trying to decide. I had a "Hawaiian" chicken on Alaska years ago that was less than optimal. Thanks!

They aren’t being served yet. You might be one of the first to try it!

Who will be the first to post a picture of a cocktail reappearing in F? Or to share the brand names of the generic liquor offerings?

My understanding is the restrictions will be relaxed, though perhaps not to fully pre-Covid levels.

I remember the red-eye soup being served with a warm half sandwich. Nothing worse that being given a ice cold fruit & cheese plate while flying on a ice cold flight back to an ice cold city 🥶🥶🥶

Baby steps. When they replace this chicken dish in the Fall, perhaps we'll have a return to polenta!

Count me in the kale fan camp, tho. Remember the Clementine Chicken (roasted with fennel and Pernod) with saffron rice and Tuscan kale? This was actually one of my favorites. It seems like 5 years ago, but it was actually served in 2019.
