Options: Chicken or Risotto, I chose chicken.
The chicken breast was dry, as expected, but still tasty. The saffron rice and lemon meringue were very good. Still better than what most other airlines are serving these days. No cookies were offered on the flight.

I thought the cod was...fine? To me it seemed mildly flavored and the cod was cooked well and not dry. Overall, it tasted like a lighter/healthier meal. Also, mine definitely looked less black than the one in gold10829's post. Our F/A also wrote different quotes for each of our meals which I thought was interesting.

No plated dessert meant the cookies came out, which ended up being southern toffee with nuts (maybe pecans?), and as expected, delicious.

Cod was really dry. However couldn’t complain as I was hungry. Snack basket came out 1 hour prior to arrival. Cookie was given shortly after meal was cleared

It was pretty decent tho unremarkable and came with a lemon meringue tart. Service was very good and professional with a pass of the snack basket around an hour out of DCA.

This was my first transcon since COVID, but things mostly seemed normal except the coffee was in paper cups. My wife and I pre-ordered the kale bowl, which we both thought was pretty tasty. My neighbor had the onion frittata, I passed on that as I hate onions but it also looked pretty good. My son pre-ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which came with yogurt. There was one pass of the snack basket about an hour before landing; I selected the pea-toes based on reviews here and was not let down. We landed around an hour early due to favorable winds, all in all a very smooth flight although JFK Terminal 1 is pretty sad these days.

I was hesitant but tried the Bahn-mi. It was OK. The pickled slaw and Sriracha really made the sandwich. The bread was a bit too thick and some small bits were very soggy. Also, the banhmi had this sauce (Sriracha mayo???) that didn't really belong in a banhmi, imo. Overall though, it was fine. I woke up hungover that day so the carby bread was really appreciated. 😂

This was MUCH tastier than it looked - I really enjoyed it! Excellent service from the flight attendant in First, who gave me a warm welcome as a oneworld frequent flyer.

LAX-CUN
Lunch:
Entrée Salad with egg. (Other option was Beef Sandwich)
This was ok - the cauliflower was marinated in curry, which overwhelmed the flavor of the dish.

Both meals were delicious. The breakfast was very filling, as was the dinner. I know it has been mentioned before, but I can't get over the fact that it's a real filet! I would pay $35 in a restaurant and be happy. It's also great to see that even the disposable napkins retain the button hole.

Was in 1A on the OAK-SEA flight by AS Horizon this evening. I thought I heard the flyer in 2C ask for champagne. FA said something and then said “next month”. Any chance we might be getting more drink options next month?! Anyone heard a rumour?

Do any of the milk run flights serve food?

SEA-KTN? (2h4m)

JNU-YAK? (56m)

Not sure whether to buy-up to F or not.

I just flew the milkrun - the FAs will TRY to give you a beverage and a pass of the snack basket on the intra-Southeast legs. Longer legs get food. Could always ask if there are any leftover food items from the longer leg (SEA/JNU or ANC/JNU depending on direction).

DEN-SEA normal choice and warm cookie, but no snack basket appearance. Unfortunate as the flight was almost 3 hours in the air.

Cold. If you're an egg salad fan, you might like it. I actually do. But it's not for everybody (or most) it seems.

I also travel with hot sauce, which helps it immensely.

I would suggest that if it is served warm, you are also receiving a complimentary side of salmonella.

I'd be happy with a bunch of black pepper.

I travel with S & P too, thanks to VX. I've been asked for these about 900x on AS flights.

food pre-ordering not available for my flights. So, if I am lucky, I'll be having snack basket roulette.

Alright so time for a petty complaint:

Our FA yesterday on SAN-FLL served the warm cookie literally 2 minutes after handing out our meals... like... she's forcing me to chose between starting with a chilled cheese plate or a warm cookie.

Ok but jokes aside, I had no idea that if you pre-order a cheese plate in economy, and get upgraded, that pre-order will still stay in first, I was almost worried I wouldn't get one.

It also sticks when you book in Coach, get upgraded to PC, again upgraded to F, and then downgraded to Coach in row 22 after a broken seat clogs up your travel day.

In that case it should still be free along with the cookie....

SEA-ONT on 3/31 departing at 2125 would have been a "snack" flight in pre-covid times, with a snack that approximates a light meal. Three weeks ago it was just snack basket, but on 3/31 they were handing out snack boxes first, and then followed up with a couple trips through with the snack basket. I think it's the first time in the last year that I've seen anything more than the snack basket after 8pm. Hopefully this is a precursor to seeing hot snacks show up again June/July-ish.

I dont think I've seen snack boxes in F since last summer prior to the return of the fruit and cheese plate.
