The chicken breast was dry, as expected, but still tasty. The saffron rice and lemon meringue were very good. Still better than what most other airlines are serving these days. No cookies were offered on the flight.

I thought the cod was...fine? To me it seemed mildly flavored and the cod was cooked well and not dry. Overall, it tasted like a lighter/healthier meal. Also, mine definitely looked less black than the one in gold10829's post. Our F/A also wrote different quotes for each of our meals which I thought was interesting.

No plated dessert meant the cookies came out, which ended up being southern toffee with nuts (maybe pecans?), and as expected, delicious.

Cod was really dry. However couldn’t complain as I was hungry. Snack basket came out 1 hour prior to arrival. Cookie was given shortly after meal was cleared

Drinks were served with a decent sized bag of Chex mix, which was pretty good. I enjoyed a few of the Fremont Lush IPA. I’d pre-ordered the Roasted Chicken Clementine which is pictured below. It was pretty decent tho unremarkable and came with a lemon meringue tart. Service was very good and professional with a pass of the snack basket around an hour out of DCA.

This was my first transcon since COVID, but things mostly seemed normal except the coffee was in paper cups. My wife and I pre-ordered the kale bowl, which we both thought was pretty tasty. My neighbor had the onion frittata, I passed on that as I hate onions but it also looked pretty good. My son pre-ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which came with yogurt. There was one pass of the snack basket about an hour before landing; I selected the pea-toes based on reviews here and was not let down. We landed around an hour early due to favorable winds, all in all a very smooth flight although JFK Terminal 1 is pretty sad these days.

I was hesitant but tried the Bahn-mi. It was OK. The pickled slaw and Sriracha really made the sandwich. The bread was a bit too thick and some small bits were very soggy. Also, the banhmi had this sauce (Sriracha mayo???) that didn't really belong in a banhmi, imo. Overall though, it was fine. I woke up hungover that day so the carby bread was really appreciated. 😂

This was MUCH tastier than it looked - I really enjoyed it! Excellent service from the flight attendant in First, who gave me a warm welcome as a oneworld frequent flyer.

LAX-CUN
Lunch:
Entrée Salad with egg. (Other option was Beef Sandwich)
This was ok - the cauliflower was marinated in curry, which overwhelmed the flavor of the dish.

Both meals were delicious. The breakfast was very filling, as was the dinner. I know it has been mentioned before, but I can't get over the fact that it's a real filet! I would pay $35 in a restaurant and be happy. It's also great to see that even the disposable napkins retain the button hole.

The introduction of Swedish Fish was a surprise to more than one FA on my recent flights. They replaced the Beef Jerkey though. James
I got beef jerky from the snack basket last Friday. Did they say they were taking it out permanently or was it just a catering change for a few flights?

I saw it last Sunday too, however, I was in row 4 and the FA didn't replenish the basket so it was gone by the time it got to me. The Swedish fish first showed up on March 1st, so it's possible that was the start of a new rotation. I believe the offerings were Chex mix, Swedish Fish, Kind bars, and Biscoff cookies. I miss the sea salt chocolate bars that showed up for a while. For a brief period, they also had a big bowl of them at the entrance of the D lounge.

I had Beef Jerky on PHX-SEA on February 28th. It hasn't appeared on any of the 9 AS flights I have been on since. On my SEA-PHX flight last night, FA confirmed it had replaced the Beef Jerky. Interestingly, I did see the appearance of Oberto Beef Jerky, just once, on a flight last month.

Something "Fishy?" Perhaps the Bean counters "schooled" catering on cost savings of 2oz of fish over 1oz of Beef Jerky.

Marketed as a FAT FREE FOOD!

Hey, no FAT, but 10 teaspoons of sugar. 😂 4.2 grams of Sugar = 1 teaspoon.

Oh! And since how can Swedish Fish come from Turkey? Something is a"fowl!"

Exactly. The "zero fat" fallacy. Sure, they are fat-free, but you most certainly can get fat by eating them!

Makes sense that the snacks changed on March 1st. Sad to see the beef jerky go though. Like getting a bit of protein.

Now if only they changed out the meals too. I was hoping since I hadn't flown for 5 months that the ham & brie wrap would be gone by the time I actually did fly. But alas, my first morning flight in a couple weeks still has it.

So, from this I am assuming that there are no more chips in the snack basket. Was hoping to get a bag of chips to enhance my Smoked Turkey Sandwich next week . Guess, it may all be "up in the air" for awhile.

I’m afraid it seems like that’s the case. A couple of time, I’ve had FAs who pulled the chips from the snack basket and served them with the sandwich. A nice gesture that was certainly appreciated!

nada - but will def let you all know when I hear of a change. For what it's worth (and most seem to know this), the ham and brie wrap is actually an egg salad wrap with ham. I like it - though I know opinions here are mixed. If you don't like egg salad you won't probably enjoy it.
