HSBC Premier also gives access to a number of lounges across the Middle East and Far East.

I stumbled across one in Istanbul which was great as it was an unexpected surprise during a 5 hour stop over. I've also just found a references to quite a few:

Could of used that.
We really need to make a full list of all the lounges that the HSBC Premier card would work to get lounge access.

As far as I'm aware, HSBC has its own lounge in IST Ataturk airport (administered by the bank ISO using a lounge like PP, etc.). Had been there once, it's spacious (only 3-4 people when I were there at daytime) with good toilet but average F&B.

The 'HSBC lounge' at HKG airport is basically their branch, but they offer several rooms (conference rooms?) as resting spaces (not sure if they provide food).

To me personally, compliementary access to DOH lounge is god bless, as the terminal is soooooo crowded during peak times. I truly feel the benefit of Premier when I showed my Premier CC and then get access into the lounge

Looks like its gone: I don't see it on the HSBC website anymore. Eh, I suspect the Five Star program is great for celebrities that need to avoid the paparazzi. However, I didn't find walking with someone from the plane to the cab terribly appealing.

Hopefully they'll come out with a real airline lounge program in its stead.

Looks like HSBC has officially unveiled an international airport lounge program for US clients. Not terribly extensive at the moment, but free is good!

Well, it is a start - one I hope signifies an expansion soon. It would be nice if they get a much larger presence.

On that HKG lounge, are they just talking about the small premier centre next to the 7-11? Or is there a new one?

In Brazil HSBC Premier members have access to HSBC lounges at

Santos Dumont in Rio de Janeiro
Congonhas in Sao Paulo
Alfonso Penha in Curitiba

Clearly they are focussed on domestic commuters since CGH and SDU are primarily used for domestic commuter traffic.

Well since premier members can open up accounts anywhere they want in the world, this would be a good way to get lounge access. Though I wonder if you could use it with a Canadian best Premier Mastercard.

Would you need to be a HSBC Premier customer of a particular country in order to use the lounges listed on the country specific Premier websites?

It would be nice if they just partnered with Priority Pass in some way.

Apparently the Indonesian HSBC Premier Mastercard has Priority Pass:

http://www.hsbc.co.id/1/2/personal_e...ort-vip-lounge

Seeing how one can have as many accounts without minimum balances, it might actually be worth doing the paperwork for an Indonesian account considering the PP is worth a few hundred $ every year.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

I had heard this about the Indonesian account, but assumed (perhaps wrongly) that due to the cost involved, Priority Pass membership would only be given to those who actually qualify for Premier by holding the required amount in Indonesia. I think I may look further into this. Thanks!

According to Japan Premier Lounge list, Hunolulu International Airport located in Hawaii has HSBC Lounge available. Is it only accessible for Japanese? Why it's not listed on US lounge list? A lot HSBC lounges are available from all over the country, why US gets so few? Not even the one in it's own soil?
