That is a great PDF link. The instructions seem comprehensive. I don't see this program lasting -- too many details to remember and I bet most people will have their P.A. or assistant deal with this.

It is nice you can use it for friends and relatives for arrivals even though you are not there -- an escort at the airport to make the airport to home trip smoother.

The big benefit of course is the escort to the Admirals Club -- even when not a member.

This could be very useful during the holiday periods -- like the busiest travel day of the year.

During times of peak demand, American Airlines® may opt to decline
additional reservations for Five Star Service.

Please clarify if I am understanding this correctly:

If I have a HSBC Premier Credit Card but I do NOT have an HSBC bank account and I fly on American Air domestically or internationally departing from JFK airport, I can use the AA Admirals Club lounge for no charge?

I do not see this benefit on the info page of the HSBC Premier Credit Card.

thank you

Sort of, you have to book the five star service beforehand (that's what the premier card entitles you to as a benefit). Lounge access is part of the five star service.

Thanks!
Also so they will work in Japan too. Magstripes are very flaky especially in taxis.

It seems that HSBC Indonesia is offering free PriorityPass to HSBC Premier card holders. With that, we have free access to all PP VIP lounges worldwide!

Since holding premier in one country, one can get it in another country for free, it's definitely worth to get the Indonesia HSBC Premier.

It doesn't say from the website which level of priority pass they are offering. Anyone know?

This states that the Priority Pass offers free entry for two people, and it doesn't mention any restriction on the number of visits per year...

The facility is only available to the main Premier credit cardholder and one travel companion. There will be an additional fee of USD 25 for the second or more travel companion entering the airport lounge, which will be debited in your HSBC Premier Mastercard account.

While I have used my US issued mastercard sucessfully in Japan without encountering any issues (airports, Osaka, Kobe, Hokkaido). Car rentals, hotel, department stores are a given. Granted, I did travel with cash as a backup.

IMO, the Indo pp's a lot more valuable. I think I have to get in touch with my RM to get a Indonesian domiciled premier account and hopefully the credit card as well (credit history transfer).

I think these who absolutely want a Euro chipped card can probably pick a European country of their choice and do this too. Use global transfers to pay the bill.

apparently hsbc has a new lounge at cmb

late wednesday night i was at cmb and spaced out and turned left one door too soon and walked into the first lounge door (not the second lounge on the left that cx uses) and handed my boarding pass to the lounge attendant before i realised my error. she directed me to the correct lounge but while i was speaking with her i noticed a big hsbc lounge banner sign welcoming hsbc premier card holders.

this is the first lounge on the left side of the concourse that was previously perpetually closed.

while i did not think to ask the attendant if this would remain permanently open for hsbc members, due to the large sign, it looks to me as though hsbc premier has a new lounge at cmb airport.

Interesting.
Any other HSBC Premier countries offer the PP or lounge access? I got the email for the AA 5* service, but since I never fly AA in/out of LAX or JFK, it seems a bit useless for me.

I'm only aware of HSBC Indonesia offering PP with their Premier mastercard. You can also use various lounges in some asian airports by just showing your premier credit card (regardless of country).

HSBC has some sort of a lounge at CGK, apparently only for those holding their credit cards.

There is an HSBC Premier Customer Lounge in Soekarno-Hattas International Terminal and very nice too. The only dedicated HSBC Airport Lounge I've seen thus far.
