Rebound Feb 10, 2011 2:16 am

Yep i have been given one of the new ones

jeffrocowboy Feb 13, 2011 8:22 pm

My last flights have not posted, and I can't recall if I paid for them or if they were paid for using airpoints dollars.

Can anyone conform if you take an airpoints flight - does it post as earning 0 status credits and 0 airpoints dollars - or as neither is earned does it not post at all.

IIRC they do not post. D you have a copy of your tickets? They will say if you paid by Airpoints or not.
Also go through our account history and that will show an Airpoint payment deduction for the flights.

They don't post at all.

My account is still a mess. Seems to be taking a while to fix the glitches this time :(

Just went from having a positive number for the number of points earned contributing to requal to having a negative number now! Lost about 150 points or so magically :(

Sorry to hear that skyglow, but not surprised.
I check my kids accounts regularly as they were only 6 airpoints away from becoming gold, and the system is a mess right now. Low and behold they lost 182 points EACH over night. Wot the???
My account and my hubby's also needed attention with points being deleted then added then deleted again. Frustrating thing is even after calling AirNZ and getting it all sorted out, 48hrs later is happened again.
Each time they apologise and say its a bug in the system.

I also got a fright checking MYAirNZ at the airport before the flight which would give me gold. 50 odd SP went missing but I left it a few days and it sorted itself out. I'm sure it will be fine, just give it a week, and if not then might pay to make the call. It seems to be a common thing lately.

Great now ive randomly lost 60SP

Jikes... this reminds me of an account of mine with a certain New Zealand retail bank.

Any chance we could have an updated on when this will be fixed?

Cheers

Dont know if this has been mentioned here before but I have been told (and seen it happen) that SC will expire while you are trying to qualify for a particular tier. While I was on the mission to hit GE I was earning and losing SC at an equal rate.

I spoke to an excellent guy at NZ who emailed me a screen dump of my activity from their system showing me when I flew in a corresponding period last year and how those will affect my chance of qualifying for GE. Becuase of that, I was able to make GE (plus a LOT of Tasman/PI flights in economy!!).

Now in terms of requalification, I am not sure if the same applies.

Yes what you were told is correct. I had to rush two flights in to qualify Gold, even though the date should a couple of months to go. The reason was I had flights from the previous 12 months drop off.
For requalification you are reset to 0 after your status kicks in, but to requalify to a higher tier the previous 12 months' activity still count.

Seems only to be recent but most domestic flights all show a duration of one hour when you click on the flight number

wayoutwest Mar 6, 2011 8:55 pm

The low price domestic add ons are not available on a lot of fares - come on NZ.

What exactly do you mean?

With the current PI specials NZ are advertising AKL to Samoa $199, New Zealand to Samoa $249 - seat only. The difference stays at $50 as it goes up to Works etc.
it does say in the small print - "Capacity is limited and will not be available on all flights", which I take to mean ifit does not show the special price ex AKL then normal rules apply you pays what the system says.

If however it shows the special ex AKL, then the special ex NZ should apply.
EG Auckland to Samoa - 28 march $173 + tax ($199), Christchurch to Samoa $223 + tax, Hokitika to Samoa $422 + tax. Try again 9 April, from Auckland $173 + tax, from Christchurch $447 + tax , from Hokitika $900 + tax.

Either it is a special from New Zeland or it is not, to try and rely on "not available all flights" is a load of claptrap. The advertising clearly states a price from Auckland and a price form New Zealand, the other advertising shows the fares applicable from New Zealand being $50 dearer than Auckland, but NZ continue to mislead. Wonder why they got in trouble with ACCC.
So thats what I mean, they or their system is wrong. Yes I have raised this and other issues directly with NZ, and to date some have been fixed and others looked at and another so far is about 13 months since it was raised and still has not been answered or fixed.
