If I book two seperate flights, to be taken on the same day via the multi-city booking tool, do I get 2 lots of SC's? I want a morning ZQN-CHC flight and then late avo CHC-PMR, but am wondering if I will still get the two lots of SC's, given the are on the sameday and on the same e-ticket, but booked individually? hope that makes sense...

Before I earned GE, such an itinerary would give SP for for both segment - since then, no.
Whether this is due to greater scrutiny of the higher SP earner travel or an overall tightening up I do not know. |

I've done this before but on two SEPARATE PNR's and I got SC for both journeys. I suspect being booked into the same PNR it will give you SC once for the entire journey. Would be keen to hear how you got on.

I booked the following ticket:
Auckland-Queenstown Queenstown-Hokitika Hokitika-Auckland It was all on the same PNR. I got the following SC: Auckland-Queenstown 12 Queenstown-Christchurch 12 Christchurch-Hokitika 8 Hokitika-Christchurch 8 Christchurch-Auckland 12 I thought this was pretty good considering there was just a 2-hour layover in Christchurch each time. |
In Feb I booked AKL-CHC on 1 day and then (on the following day) CHC-WLG in the late morning and then WLG-AKL in the evening, all on the 1 PNR (using multi-city booking tool). I only got 12SPs for the first trip and 12SPs for the whole second day's travel, even though that second day consisted of two flights with several hours in between.
I wrote to NZ to request SPs for the third leg but never got a response. I always book each leg individually now. In response to serfty's suggestion of possible top tier scrutiny, I was only NZ*G at the time. |
What it does indicate is that while YMMV, Airpoints Managemnts can basically credit as they deem fit.

I have noticed that for some reason multi-sector trips involving HKK seem to be more likely to credit as separate sectors than most cities. I have noted this on two different airpoints accounts in the family (separate trips always).

Just booked for 3 of us AKL-MEL return in June, using Seat only.
Went to request u/g's online, and it lists my name once and my GE partner twice, but the 3rd pax is not listed, despite the confirmed itin emailed to me on purchase, which has all 3 of our names listed correctly. Then put in for the u/g requests for me and GE partner and says that these are Requested status (even with R7 Z4 on EF). When I go back to check, my 2 Recognition u/g's not deducted from my account and the u/g web screen lets me put in the same request yet again for the same flight, so appears to not be registering in the system. Will try again tomorrow otherwise will call. |

Sorry to drag up this old chestnut again.
My passport details have reverted to information from one that expired in 2005.... Would love to know why this old information is stuck in my profile seemingly no matter how often I change it to up to date information. Anybody know of a good way to fix it? Why oh why does my passport information keep defaulting back to a 2005 expired passport?? Please can some lurker from AirNZ reply to this and look into it. It does not make that much difference to me now but does slow things down hugely at checkin as the information does not match..... |

There was two of us traveling together with the same last name. Both of use booked separate tickets on different PNR's, checked on separate machines in the premium lobby. Was in the lounge & got called to the service desk just before boarding. Mine had my family members new passport number & theirs had my old one! Staff looked clueless on that one! |

It's very annoying that the multistop booking doesn't allow you to use DJ for one leg, trying to do AKL-BNE and then return via OOL. It looks like I'll just have to do two separate bookings.

Last night was trying use the multistop tool to make a simple AKL-HKG-LHR with a stopover in HKG.....
It was too complicated for the tool! Hopeless. |
If it couldn't do that no wonder I couldn't book my mother AKL-YVR and return
SFO-AKL when I tried the other day |
