You could book seat only and then "upgrade" it to seat+bag on myairnz after you've booked?

I've run into the same problem - the issue is that the multicity tool hasn't been changed to the new "seats to suit" style yet, so the only thing you can book is Works ie what used to just be called economy.

It also seems that the multicity tool doesn't take into account latest sale activity, i.e. what it comes up with is more than what you would expect for two one way legs (e.g. if you look at the AKL-BNE-AKL and take the AKL-BNE price, and a AKL-MEL-AKL and take the MEL-AKL price)?

The call centre can waive the fee though.

Yes, I noticed the same thing, although it seemed to get it right some of the time - admittedly I wasn't looking at sale fares and I wasn't thorough in my research.

Judging by the cost and the class type as 'Economy' I'm guessing it books in to works (which i don't want). Problem is when you book MEL-AKL individually you don't get access to the current sale fares.

Wish they would just re-do the multi-trip itinary all together. I've had to use Expedia to do such a booking a number of times

Hey Paul,

I'm trying to help out my folks, who are coming to NZ this January. The website insists on putting them in seats one behind the other rather than opposite (1A 2A or 1K 2K rather than 1A 1K and so on). Is this a known issue? Do I/they need to ring up? I'd be grateful for an email rather than a reply here, as I'm on the road at the mo: [email protected].

Cheers,

--John

Hey Paul

You missed my post...is this something you plan to address in the future? Given that you are trying to give us as much choice as possible now, I would like to have the opportunity to choose seat + bag, rather than be allocated works when trying to use the multi-city tool....

Thanks in advance for your help

That's fine - aslong as it's in the pipeline. Do the Reservations team have the capability to do it over the phone for me?

Not so much a website issue but Air NZ technology related so I hope this is the right place to post it.

The new flybuys linked airpoints card interferes with snapper card. :(

? How the Airpoints card, unlike the QF card (which is not in my wallet), does not have an RFID chip.
Personally in my wallet I have 3 RFID chips, NZ (eChip), Snapper and building access. The only issue I have is Snapper readers pick up the others, so in the fold out portion of wallet, while no problems with building acess or NZ Gate Readers.

The new airpoints card is the only new card in my wallet so I assumed that was causing interference which was not there before. [My new QF card hasn't arrived so it can't be that.]

Maybe your employer has inserted an RFID chip in you somewhere....

Hi Paul,

I took NZ8421 AKL-NPE a week ago and it has not posted -- I tried to do an online claim for this but NZ8421 didn't appear in the tool as a valid flight.

Just tried tonight and I see the missing points tool is completely different from a few days ago and it correctly found and posted the missing bucks, and showed the PNR/ticket number it came from.

This is a nice improvement - the old tool had never worked for me at all!
