Thanks for the feedback on the new Holidays refresh.
What would be the Top 5 things you would like to see in a new design for the main Airnz website? 1.Alternate flights/days when booking if the day/date not available would be really helpful, I have tried on various times to book holidays to the islands, but gave up as every day that I put in came back "no flights available on the dates you selected" so very time consuming and frustrating. 2. Ability to see time schedules to/from destination at first point of booking, at present you have to do a 'dummy' booking to obtain this infomation, I hate early morning travel and where possible try and book evening travel? thanks in advance and also nice to be asked :) |

This maybe not the "main" part, but my 2 cents anyway.....

So not the booking engine or MyAirNZ. |

What would be the Top 5 things you would like to see in a new design for the main Airnz website? Also the ability to book longer layovers on domestic trips within one fare, which used to be possible. I often find when booking trips like, say, NSN-WKA via CHC, that an online travel agent can get me a better fare by booking a less direct connection than is available with the Air NZ booking engine. Finally, the ability to change routing and multi-stop bookings online - it's annoying to pay a contact centre fee every time I do this when I'd prefer to do it myself anyway if I could! The last two might not quite fit under the "design" category, so I hope you don't mind the extra 2c in there. |

A few queries with airnz.co.uk ....
• Are there any plans to include the taxes within the price displayed in the flight search? It currently only tallies at the bottom, so it's quite frustrating to manually click on each fare to display the full price. I have a widescreen laptop too so I also have to keep scrolling up and down to see the price. We have recently added a Base fare subtotal for each direction which saves having to scroll to the bottom of the screen and also adds the Skycouch fee is selected. We do have plans to add the taxes to this subtotal and then to add the taxes to the actual fare in the cell in the flight table. • Are the list of destinations for multi-sector itineraries being updated on .co.uk? Many US destinations available on codeshare seem to be missing e.g Boston, New York. The list of destinations is currently upto date. We don’t have any plans to add Boston or New York to those available to book online at this stage. • Login to myairnz is buried in the frequent flyer section - is it possible to include on the homepage as per .co.nz? That’s good feedback. I will pass that onto the team for them to consider with any changes they have planned for the home page. General requests for the multi-sector engine: • Errors - it'd be helpful if the engine displayed alternate days available if no flights found This has come up a couple of times and certainly on the list of enhancements for multi-stop. • Could the 'start over' button possibly be moved somewhere else? It's currently in the position of a 'go' button and I've lost count the amount of times I've hit it by mistake because the rest of the flight search fields are below the fold and I think I have to hit something to bring those up (I'm usually pretty net-savvy but it gets me every time). This is also on the list and something which has caught a few of us out every now and then. Thank you so much for your feedback. It really helps and I do ensure it’s added to any future development we are working on online. Paul |
Hi Paul,
I know you said main site, and this isn't, but I really want to say +1 to getting rid of the nested windows when selecting flights. I'd also like to suggest, as something for all AirNZ websites, get rid of Flash. Just use standard HTML. Flash may be pretty, but it limits the devices able to be used on the site. Especially for the booking and myairnz site, I can think of no interaction with the site that needs Flash and could not be done with very established HTML features. forensicflyer |
Pretty sure nothing in the booking process uses Flash. It's all HTML (and Ajax), I think.

It's a real hassle not finding out until after payment, so much so that I often ring up the call centre, start making a manual booking, find out the booking classes, then if they're suitable stop and book online. Which is just a waste of my time and the agent's time, and NZ still doesn't get the booking fee. :) |

Display the booking classes for flights during the booking, please. (And ideally being able to select higher fare classes for segments - but that would just be a nice to have.)

The nested windows went as part of the usability testing selling Skycouch online. Though its not necessarily connected, it highligted a challnge on that page. We are aware of the challenges of using Flash and its all part of the plan ahead for potential changes. Cheers Paul |

It is the myairnz site that I dislike the flash content on. I'm just hoping that they aren't considering it for the booking site.
For example, what do you think about the home page on www.airnz.co.nz Have you noticed any changes we have made recently? What improvements would you recommend? Is there anything missing? What would be your fav airline home page? Thanks Paul |
Paul
Loved the 'How far can you go' feature. Well done. |

The thing about the holidays section they need to update most is the multi-journey option. This doesn't work at all, you can't even change it to the correct date you want.

Most booking systems out there (air/land/hotel) will only let you book tickets 350 or so days into the future.
