"Since 16 June 2020, one of the two medium-haul lounges at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport (Terminal 2F1) reopened its doors from 5:30 am to 6 pm."
Awesome news but having said that the KL lounge in AMS has also been "OPEN" just without any food or drinks. Has anyone been to the newly reopened lounge?

I just visited the lounge F1 on the Terminal 2F today (16H30). Didn't see any alcoholic beverage.
1. The Entrance to the Lounge is the usual one. There is a circuit for passengers entering and passengers going out from the lounge. Exit is locate in front of the entrance.
2. After welcoming you, you must put your hands in a very - Jettsons like - artifact to clean your hands with some gel.
3. Both upper and lower level are open: Food is served on the upper floor only (not self-service but on demand). The usual beverages are in the fridges (sodas, water, juices) and coffee/tea as usual. There were snacks (chips, cake) as usuaj. The lower floor has only the beverages + some snacks.
4. Lounge was pretty empty compared to other days (of course less flights = less passengers = less visitors)
5. Air France personnel was really happy to go back to work.
Things are going reasonably back to normal. Step by Step.
Cheers,
Alex

I posted some info yesterday in the lounge thread : The usual white and red wine bottles were there yesterday.
i didn’t have to go through this disinfection step. Maybe it was because I was being escorted downstairs to the Ulti area by the lounge attendant. I didn’t notice that the exit was on the other side. I exited by the usual entrance. But I think they didn’t really matter as I was one of the last pax to leave the lounge before it closes.

I copy the quote from the Flying Blue Ulti Thread, as it covers the on-board service topic:
that's exactly the info I wanted to hear. I have a J flight TXL-CDG on 1 July (bought before the pandemic) and was already quite dissapointed about the non-existence of service in J. I have full understanding for certain adaptations in service due to the current situation, but I'm glad that it seems to go some way into the direction where competitors such as Lufthansa or Swiss already are (They are providing a meal in European J).
Hi All,
Coming back from MRS yesterday afternoon, the Chef de Cabine told us that the health protocole on board they have been following will change from the 30th of June. Also, the public health emergency status will be lifted at the middle of July, meaning that there are chances the service on board come more or less back.

Took my first “post-Covid” CDG-GVA on June 24th.
- Only gate 10 was open to enter terminal 2F - with at least 8 police officers guarding that entrance. They did not control anybody, though.
- 2F landside rather empty at 7:00am but I noticed moderate queues at security due to very few lanes available. Even Acces No1 - which I used - was busy.
- Thumbs-down for ADP and its always filthy landside toilets.
- Lounge in 2F2 now open with food served on-demand and a lot of (mostly savoury) snacks + instant noodles. Usual beverage offerings, although I did not check the wines (too early for me :-) ).
- Boarding by zones with temperature checks. Passengers may be more disciplined now, but I found the boarding quite efficient and less messy than pre-Covid.
- A319 half-full in Y but surprisingly, 4 out of 5 rows were full in C.
- As expected, no-frills in Y, but the crew proactively brought cups of water in C.

Hi All,
I wanted to check if there are any updates on service in international business class? I am flying ATL - CDG tomorrow and was hoping to better understand what to expect.
Thanks,
Timo

Good news, service is getting progressively back to normal on short & medium-haul. From today (Friday 26/06), drink service is back in Y and J but only non-alcoholic drinks. Still no food in both classes. I discussed with the FA of my flight and he told me that alcohol and food (as before) will be back from 10/07.
Also no more 8-zone boarding process (from back to front) : the usual process is back (with SP zones 1&2 boarding first)

We will welcome your feedback. Some changes happened today (progressive return to normal), but for long haul there were less cuts than for medium-haul. Until recently, for J long-haul, the drink pre-take off and apéritif services were suspended. Main meal was as before and 2nd light meal before landing was simplified and was given in a “take-away bag” (same as in Y). So it is possible that some of the cuts are now back from today. Please tell us after tour trip. Thank you.

No service this morning on medium-haul, although they confirmed it will be back to normal "soon". Both lounges at 2F were open so that's something.
Lounge staff indicated that boarding was still from the back, but the boarding pass indicated Zone 2 for row 5. There were only 40 persons on board so I didn't have an occasion to see it. We spent more time debating with Securitas whether tourists were allowed on board (Securitas management said no, the destination country's governmental website said yes, staff had to escalate three times internally to get a positive answer!).

The F&B offer at 2F lounges is very close to normal. The only difference I noted is for desserts : they didn’t have those delicious tarts and Paris-Brest they often had in the past. But that’s it. And they had a very decent Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

nothing against the people themselves, they are only performing a job which they have been asked to do. The problem is that they were not properly trained for such a job, which is why I believe that airlines should not let them be the ones who take that sort of decision. Immigration rules are too complex already, and even more so right now, to be left to people from an organisation that is not qualified for it.

Is service still "à la carte", or did they relax the rules to let pax help themselves there?
