I have purchased a Premium Economy ticket. The flight has the the "old" NEV4 business class seat, 2-3-2. I've never flown Air France. I can use points to upgrade to business class. Is it worth it to upgrade to the old angle-flat NEV4 seat, or better to stick with the Premium Economy seat and save my points for other things?

AF PE is really bad for sleeping, so NEV4 would be a huge improvement.
That being said, the "cost" of PE plus points upgrade is high. You would have been better off buying a J award in the first place. In my view, miles upgrade are only worth when you company pays for PE and you upgrade with your miles.

Oh, go for it. When you see these BEST vs. NEV4 vs. D1 767 etc. discussions, keep in mind it's coming from spoiled J flyers. J > Y, W in every case.

From Oct 29 2017 all CDG-NRT (&v.v.) will no longer be BEST - now marked with the 777+ logo on the booking engine. CDG-HND will continue as BEST.
I note that flights to HND are all premium price (i.e. >£2000 for business and >£4000 for first) which is rather disappointing.

Is there a clear schedule of which 4-class 777s fly to JFK from CDG? Looking at some dates in August/September, and it seems most days there are none and some days it's the first flight out while others it's the last.

Recently flew CDG-BOS. Plane looked brand new to me (777-200). Had a single window seat (business class). Thought it was a very good deal for the price I paid. FAs were friendly, food pretty good. I think AF is now my top EU TATL airline choice (as long as they keep the 1-2-1 in biz).

Just to make sure ... CDG to HND/NRT

Just to be clear, because I am planning a business trip out in early December ... they took the upgraded biz class seats off the NRT route but they are still on the HND routes? It's a slog of a trip (around the world) so lying flat for sleep is key ... or we will go through Amsterdam on KLM 777.
Thank you!
EDIT: Okay did my own research (forgive the rookie poster) - currently the AF website shows the new biz class on the HND flights and the old on NRT directs. Should I be confident for a trip in December it will remain that way? Anyone with experience on that?
