I think AC uses two different types of bread onboard.
The domestic kind I do not like. It's rectangular. . It's either hard as a rock or chewy (not the nice kind)...rubbery.
On the international flights the bread are fantastic - they are the baguette variety with the pointed ends... I enjoy those .

I find the International J bread to be alright... there are variants on TATL too

I don't really know what you mean when you talk about viagra bread. I've never had bread so hard I couldn't easily eat it.

I think the bread is every bit as good as the food it's served with.

They weren't kidding when they said carrot and (a) broccoli mix.
Presentation has not improved from the steam ovens on the 788 I see.
As for the Viargra bread, I can count on zero hands how many times its been served warmed. And one hand (2) how often my nuts get warmed

Guys, I'm telling you - doing weekly TATLs/TPACs mixed in with domestic transcons, the bread is rarely warm. Yes, once in awhile I will get warm bread, and I appreciate it. But most of the time, it is either rock hard or not warm at all.
For the domestic bread, as I said before - I hit my friend upside the head and he got mad at me because it actually hurt him. I wasn't even using excessive force. It was like a "thuck"!

Don't quite understand why cold silverware is an issue here. Cutlery packets are part of the tray set up and trays are chilled to keep components fresh. Do you really want to be eating a salad or plated appetizer with hot cutlery??
Pretty consistent with the practice of standard airline catering.

The salad should be cold. The cutlery should be room temperature.
If the current setup doesn't allow that, it should be changed, and not used as an excuse.

I mean does CX F have warm cutlery? Nope. Been on it. BR J? Nope. I can't recall a single airline where the cutlery wasn't cold...
I'm with ACYYZ/SD on this. I don't find this to be an issue at all for me. I think if we're going to start complaining about cold cutlery, then wow....just wow.
