[QUOTE=The Lev;8138042]Yes this does happen from time to time. Where are you flying to/from? QUOTE]

I'm flying from YYC to Houston (then on to other cities via UA). So, not hub to hub but not really a "tourist" route either. Thanks.

On AC.com they don't offer a Tango fare, so you should be fine.

Do we yet have an understanding of exactly what the practical impact of the Z fare is going to be? I've been looking at flights to Japan from YVR (both to KIX and NRT), where Z=4/5 in October and November. The price hasn't budged. The only drop I've noticed was for one routing SEA-YVR-NRT, which dropped by $2K (but only this one particular routing. Any other combinations have had zero impact barring the standard drop in fees).

It's too early to tell -- AC has not yet filed any Z-class fares.

Today I have noticed for the first time Z class availability, not fare, between Canada and Germany on itn.net. Since earlier this week, I class has disappeared from that tool. Where do we look now - besides KVS?

There are a bunch of posts from January of this year regarding N fares from USA to LHR including this one:

Do you remember if you were able to reproduce the status mileage details? I am seeing the message confirming 100% status miles on this N class ticket for travel in Oct. I see this subject has come up a few times in the past couple of years but dies off before I see any answers. Has anyone flown from US to LHR on an N class and had miles posted? If I print off a copy off the page showing the eligibility, wouldn't that be the end of the argument if they fail to give the miles?

I've never flown this route; however, I would imagine it to be popular for those in the oil business.

Hi All - just wondering about AC H and Q fares. I had a short flight and 125 miles posted to United Mileage Plus. Usually I get 250 miles, but I am not familiar with H and Q fares. My understanding was they were Tango Plus fares, but for some reason I am only getting 50% . Can anyone explain this? Thanks in Advance.

LX and LH

I`m going to buy the ticket ZRH-FRA in T-class on the Swiss website but one leg is operated by Luftansa. From what I see, T-class gets 250 miles on LX but not on LH. It`s confusing. I have 34700 AC status miles and don`t know how to get the remaining 300.

What about taking the train to Cologne or Stuttgart (LH Airrail service)?

Or even easier buying a ZRH-FRA fare that get's you the 500 min miles? Can't be too expensive.

I don't see "T" listed as a fare class on the Aeroplan web site for LH. Fare classes often map to a different letter when travelling on another carrier. The first thing I'd do is phone LH reservations and ask them what Swiss T class corresponds to on LH when it is a codeshare. You might just find that you will earn 500 miles on LH.

If it does earn zero miles, maybe you can phone LX reservations and upgrade to the higher fare or switch to an LX oeprated flgiht.

Another alternative might be to find a cheep Spanair flight to Spain and spend a weekend on the coast soaking up the sun.

I thought these air/rail tickets no longer earned miles. Am I wrong?

After finally talking to LH I was told that T class with Swiss doesn`t match any LH class. I had the impression that he was not quite sure himself but I better believe him in this case.

Yes. According to aeroplan.com:

Eligible flights
All scheduled flights operated by Lufthansa, CityLine and LH Train service: Frankfurt - Cologne and Frankfurt - Stuttgart are eligible
A flexible one-way train-ticket Frankfurt - Stuttgart booked in H would earn 500 miles and costs EUR 61.
