Andrew,
The first and third post could be updated to reflect the new meaning of Z-class. The first post shows Z as "OTHERS non online only fares: Z – 0 Aeroplan miles. No standby permitted and not upgradeable." The third one states "Z - for tour wholesalers (such as cruise lines or student tickets) where the airfare is sold as part of a tour package. Not eligible for upgrades by any tiers. No Aeroplan regular/status miles."

Upgradeable for SEs & Es Special Systemwides. 100% Aeroplan status miles. A, N, E, G, K, O, R, T - Discounted Economy Class. Not Upgradeable. 100% Aeroplan status miles. (Except between Canada & Europe destinations not mentioned above - not eligible for mileage) X class on AC operated flights - 50% Aeroplan miles which counts towards status (re)qualification except it's 50% non-status on Las Vegas/Florida and Hawaii. Not upgradeable with upgrade certificates. X or K on ACV flights (AC1800-1899 or AC1904-1905) - 50% Aeroplan miles which counts towards status (re)qualification. Not upgradeable with upgrade certificates. 1) N class from Canada to FRA/MUC/ZUR and then codeshare on LH/LX onwards to India - those flights would earn 100% status miles? |

Dublin, London, Manchester, Paris, Rome, Shannon, Tel Aviv, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden

1) I presume that this list includes codeshared flights from a European AC gateway to some of those cities mentioned above (as AC does not fly to many of the above listed cities). 2) I presume that certain aspects of upgrade (ie SWUs on B and H fares) are more liberal to/from Germany/Switzerland, because of competition there by LH/LX between their countries and Canada? I wonder where Madrid will fit in, next year - the above list, or with Germany/Switzerland? |

Domestic "A" Class
Andrew's TANGO PLUS posting for domestic saysthey are booked in
A, B, H, V, Q, L booking classes. Is that in order of priority? IOW, is "L" the bottom of the Tango Plus bucket or is "A". I always that B and H were the highest of the T+. |
I thought there was a "S" Class for Tango Plus now??

This is by way of clarification...
I was looking at a trip from YYZ to PVG (Shanghai) and one of the routings is via Calgary & Vancouver (At least I would visit MLL's!) Those connecting fares are T A & E. Would I get full status miles since it is part of an international (China) Itinerary? Thanks |

Would I get full status miles since it is part of an international (China) Itinerary? Thanks Note: Here are a couple of ways to try to avoid Tango fares: 1. On the select fares screen tick the box that says "Display only fares eligible for upgrades". It will ask you for the cert number. Type in 4000002 (SSWU serial number). 2. Pay the $30 and use the call centre to book the flight (or phone tech support and say you can't get a T+ fare to display and they may route you to the call centre without having to pay the fee. |
Curious
Ladies and Gents, I've cruised this thread, tried the search function to no avail, so if this question has been answered, forgive me, but I did try.
I've done a KVS search for several YUL-LAS, and YOW-LAS intins., the first Dec 6, the second Dec 16, and in both cases, you no longer see "I" class availability. Can someone tell me where I class has gone? Has it been replaced? |

P class?
Hi AC insiders, can you kindly tell what is P-class? found some fares on ac.com, but could not find what fare class this is and terms.
Also an AC N-class seat, is equivalent to what class in a code-share Lufthansa or Swiss flight? Lufthansa/Swiss do not seem to have N-class. Thanks |

EXECUTIVE
It looks like there have been some changes to accrual of Aeroplan miles on certain routes. See link for details: https://www.aeroplan.com/earn_miles/...ner_details.do In particular, one can now earn the 25% COS bonus on all discounted business class tickets for travel between Canada and Germany/Switzerland. |
Okay, so I thought that I understood this whole "aeroplan points on a star alliance flight", but clearly I don't.
I'm booking a intra-Europe flight on LH. I thought that what I needed to do was look up the fare class that LH.com showed (class was E or D) and check out the chart on Aeroplan for Lufthansa. However, neither of these classes is on that chart. How do I find out how many AP points these flights would give me? |
