What does NH C and D map to on AE?
So I'd think NH C = AC J. Beyond that, who knows. But AE gives 25% COS bonus for any business class fare on NH, so I don't think it matters (if your question relates to mileage accrual). |

help - is gate check on rj considered bag check?
Sorry if this is buried somehwere in here already, but I can;t find it ..
Rules say- I can save $3 on Tango Plus by not checking bags. If you end up having to check a bag, you pay $50 fee. Question - So, if on a RJ, and they plane-side check a rollaboard, will I be charged the $50 fee? TIA |

Question - So, if on a RJ, and they plane-side check a rollaboard, will I be charged the $50 fee? TIA At many stations, you go onto the tarmac to board the RJ. At these locations there will be a "valet cart" next to the airplane door that you will place your bag on. |
Quick questions here.
1. Booked through Air Canada Vacations a trip to Munich, Germany in K class. Even though it is through ACV it appears that K class to Germany is full 100 percent status miles, I am reading this correct? 2. Looking at booking through ACV to Rome, Italy in L class. Can someone also confirm that this is full status miles, EVEN though it is booked through ACV. I am to understand that international long hauls earn full status miles booked through ACV? Thanks for any help |

Found this useful doc:
September 4, 2009 STAR ALLIANCE BOOKING CLASS ALIGNMENT Air Canada is in the process of aligning its booking class structure with Star Alliance carriers. Implementation will be phases, and completed by October 29, 2009. When rebooking is required, Air Canada will rebook GDS PNRs and revalidate your clients’ tickets. You don’t have to reissue any tickets. An SSR to that effect will be entered in the PNR of any bookings impacted by these class changes. IMPLEMENTATION PHASES SEPTEMBER 4 Existing R class segments, for travel on/after September 7, will be rebooked as follows: Within North America: R class rebooked to K class To/from Asia: R class rebooked to H class To/from Sydney: R class rebooked to P class SEPTEMBER 15 Existing I class segments, for travel on/after September 18, will be rebooked to R class, as R will become the new upgrade class for Top Tier Upgrade Certificates, and Air Canada Upgrade Certificates. OCTOBER 29 Final changes will be made, for travel effective October 29: B class: Transferred to Latitude. Existing B class PNRs will not be rebooked M and U class: Transferred to Tango Plus. No, only the following classes will be rebooked: - On September 4, for travel on/after September 7, R class will be rebooked to: H class to/from Asia P to/from Sydney K within Canada, between Canada – U.S., including Hawaii - On September 15, for travel on/after September 18, I class will be rebooked to R - On October 29, for travel on/after October 29, M and U rebooked to Y 2. What happens when a booking class is changed before the ticket is issued? There is no change to the GDS fare guarantee. It applies only to ticketed PNRs. Although booking classes are being realigned, the fares are not changing. If the PNR no longer quotes the original fare as booked, use your GDS ‘best buy’ transaction to rebook the equivalent fare in the new booking class. 3. What happens to my clients booked in A class (Tango Plus)? Your clients will not be rebooked and tickets issued using A class on, or prior to October 29 will be honoured. As per normal change procedures, for any changes once A class is removed from Tango Plus, please use the best available fare. 4. With rebooked PNRs, will my clients’ seat selection protected? Yes, there is no change to your client’s seat selection. 5. Will I have to re-issue my clients’ tickets? No. Your bookings will be automatically rebooked by Air Canada. You will receive an SSR to advise you that the booking class was changed, and that the ticket does not have to be reissued. Example : - SSR OTHS BOOKING CLASS CHANGE REISSUE NOT REQUIRED - SSR CKIN INVOL CHG-ACCEPT TKT - Remark: CUSTOMER REPROTECTION DUE TO FARE CLASS/CATEGORY CHANGES REBOOKED FROM R TO H CLASS 6. Will Air Canada take over the PNR? No, affected PNRs will remain under your agency control. Revised September 21, 2009 7. Since I don’t have to re-issue my clients’ tickets, do I have to action my queues? Air Canada strongly recommends that you action your queues in order to keep your PNRs in sync with the Air Canada file. 8. However, this issue is immaterial and irrelevant for virtually all practical purposes. |
