Perhaps, but this very important topic should be deferred to the SME OP :D

Z class is discounted business class - no need to upgrade. I'm confused as to why it is being called Tango Plus. Where did you find this? I also notice another discounted business fare bucket, D. I had not heard of this one before.

The updated fare class list is now on the Aeroplan website.

I see the D class on a YYZ - NRT flight I'm tracking. It shows equal to Z. Both show 4 while J anc C are 9.

Hey, quick question here. I flew DEN-YUL-FRA on AC on May 22nd, 2009. I used my Miles & More account for the FF miles, and just recently realized LH had not given me my miles. Booking class was N, which I realize means I won't be getting miles for the DEN-YUL sector, but when I checked Miles & More they had only given me 1820 BONUS miles for the YUL-FRA sector. Surely they have to give me the full 3,640 for the flight in both status and bonus, correct? If not looks like there wasn't any point in booking my recent trips on US and UA.

CO K fares

Do CO K and G fares count for 100% miles and status on AC.
They seem to count for 100% of the points on CO and I would assume status as well.

You can find this information on Aeroplan.com.

To save you the trouble, yes K&G earn 100% status miles.

Assistance Please - Continental Fare Class AC Code

Hi,
Assistance would be most appreciated. I want to book the following itinerary on Continental's website:

YXE to YVR - AC8577
listed as Fare Class: Economy (W) on the Continental site and says Air Canada flight 8577 operated by JAZZ.

YVR to IAH - CO262 Fare Class: Economy (T)

IAH to GIG - CO129 Fare Class: Economy (T)

GIG to IAH - CO128 Fare Class: Economy (T)

IAH to YYC - CO630 Fare Class: Economy (T)

YYC to YXE - AC8584
listed as Fare Class: Economy (W) on the Continental site and says Air Canada flight 8584 operated by JAZZ.

I will want to accrue Aeromiles on all flights.

My question is, on the AC8577 and AC8584 will I receive 100% status miles?

I went to the Aeroplan site and Fare Class "W" does not appear under the Air Canada JAZZ listing. (It does appear as Tango Plus for the Air Canada section).

I phoned Aeroplan, the agent said they would be 100% status miles because the flights were part of an overall international itinerary. However, I note the Aeroplan site states also: "For Contintental code-share flights operated by another Star Alliance Airline, refer to the Aeroplan Miles section of the carrier operating the flight."

I just want to make sure because those few extra miles puts me over the 35 K line for 2009.

thanks so much for assistance.

Any chance we could get an update. The info here is now over 2 years old. There are some known "discrepencies" such as the Latitude and upgrade fare bucket letters.
