If you have general questions about how to earn SQM/SQS/SQD, please see the status qualification thread.

If you have received an incorrect amount of SQx/points, please see the thread on missing/incorrect flight activity.

Calculator for SQM, SQD, and Aeroplan points
SQM/SQD Cowculator and its source code

canadiancow's TODO list:
  • SAS Go Light fares
  • Basic economy on any airline other than AC (is it just need a fare basis that ends in GT?)
  • Ineligible codeshares, like EY-marketed, EY-operated, AC-ticketed

Adam Smith's TODO list:
  • Add earning for VA
  • Check earning rates for AC basic economy

  • BKK-HKG: had two different entries in the two halves of the table, one of which was 1065 (<2% different from haversine), although no idea where 1172 came from; fixed
  • FLR-SFO: actually FRA-SFO distance - how did @canadiancow not catch that?! ; deleted
  • YYZ-SLC: 1902 was Comfort fare, base was 1654; fixed
  • YYZ-TPA: same as BKK-HKG, one entry was about right, haven't figured out where the incorrect one came from; fixed
  • LAX-RAR: another with different data in the two halves, looks like it was just a typo (4682 vs 4982); fixed

Incorrect, pending confirmation from original posters:
Likely correct, just somewhat high % due to small distances:
  • ICN-PEK
  • MUC-TXL
  • YEG-YYC
  • VIE-ZAG
  • FRA-VIE: I can confirm this one, actually. I got 187 on a 50% earning fare in 2018, so 373 is definitely closer than 385

Definitely wrong, but I haven't identified the root cause yet:
  • FLR-LHR: definitely entered in the wrong cell, just haven't figured out where it came from yet
  • DEN-SNA: not sure
  • LHR-VIE: off by right about 30%. Did OS have 70% earning fares at some point?
  • DXB-VIE: same
  • ISL-VIE: same
  • KUL-PEK: this wouldn't be OS, probably CA, but same?
I flew with my son (no status) YYC-YEG in 2016 (i.e. "old Aeroplan") on a Flex fare and can confirm he received 158 miles.

So you've flown it in both the new and old Aeroplan?

No, I checked the DB record if the value existed and was still accurate.

Which record did you check? FRA-NBO isn't here:

LH,FRA,NBO,P in the CowTool (great-circle distance derived via Haversine formula).

Might be an ad hoc calculation rather than a stored value (not transparent).

Haversine is calculated. There's "Haversine", "Old Aeroplan", and "Aeroplan".

But 3920 is still a very great data point, thanks.

Has anyone else had this happen?
Ignoring the other part that I replied to in the thread this was posted, that means IDA-DEN is 457.

It also means that @ac/elite has the new YVR-DEN distance, and hopefully will share that too.

I don't, because that segment I didn't receive credit credit for.

I will be flying YVR-DEN in late September and will report back on the current mileage if we still only have the old Aeroplan information by then.

YUL-FCO

@Adam Smith and @canadiancow, YUL-FCO (or vice-versa as in table) is now 4086 (a loss of 5 miles).
