FlyerTalk Forums Expert How-Tos and Guides
Last edit by: tcook052
This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition , 2017 edition and 2018 edition.

The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues, status or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs, destinations, in-flight travel tech. or anything best discussed elsewhere on FT may be relocated to that forum as this thread isn't meant to import travel topics to this forum that are better discussed on other forums. FT is an amazingly diverse and large community so members are encouraged to seek out all of its resources.

While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

So today's game will have an empty bench with Jonas, Delon, CJ and Monroe gone and they traded Richardson yesterday so . @yyznomad if you hurry maybe you can get some playing time at the end of the 4Q garbage time. Oh and Leonard will not play today with a sore knee. So that's 6 players out and we got Gasol.
Obviously some more signings done or on the way to fill that bench.
I think if V had started more often he would have even better overall numbers since he is highly efficient.
But to have another strong D with Kawhi out here and there, I agree this is a bit better.

Apologies for the delay. When I fly in from BKK/ SIN, I stay over at the Novotel, which is conveniently located a few minutes away from the terminal. It's not fancy, and in a dead area, but the staff are quite nice. and easily give me a late checkout. The shuttle bus is convenient. I lead a very dull life when I transit. With the afternoon arrivals on AC I can get 3-4 hours in the EVA lounge between flights, so no need to sleep over. I can't say enough nice things about my TPE transit experience, especially baggage delivery, immigration , politeness and the general safety.

Interested in hearing some opinions on Jim Carrey's show "Kidding".

Saw some trailers last year and was really intrigued, then forgot all about it. For some reason it popped into my head today and I'm wondering what people think.

I will go and watch it irregardless (I fully intend to use this word as often as possible as I hear it's wildly popular among the FT elite) but I'm interested in opinions all the same.

It wasn't a word during its glory days of misuse...
But at some point over a decade ago, several major dictionaries included as a new addition to the lexicon.
IIRC, the reason was that it was heavily used by that point. The train had left the station, the ship had sailed, etc., I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It was some of the best trailers I have ever seen.
The actual show on the other hand...... was okay at best.....

If you are looking for some great shows (30 episodes or less) but don't want to binge 60 hours at once, below is my list
1- The Leftovers
2- Stranger Things
3- Counterpart
4- Bojack Horseman
5- Killing Eve
6- Homecoming
7- Fleabag
8- The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
9- Mr.Robot
10- The Terror

I imagine there ain't no shortage of words in the dictionary that are present only because of humanity's insistence on using them.

I think Carrey has the ability to be a great actor and this role allows him to explore the depths of fame and its crushing pressure not unlike his own celebrity.

As much as I love the show. IMHO the S2/3 never reached S1 level
TBH aside from The Leftovers, the rest are not exactly ranked.

Raps were down 15+ points in 2Q but managed to win by a larger margin (against a lackluster Hawks team).

and the Habs beat Wpg... annoying!
