This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition , 2017 edition and 2018 edition.
The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues, status or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs, destinations, in-flight travel tech. or anything best discussed elsewhere on FT may be relocated to that forum as this thread isn't meant to import travel topics to this forum that are better discussed on other forums. FT is an amazingly diverse and large community so members are encouraged to seek out all of its resources.
While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

Was rooting for them so that there are multiple Canadian teams remaining... oh well.
With the buds, they like to repeat history. I wouldn't be surprised with yet another choking loss tonight.
Their bats are certainly heating up... no more 7 innings of 0R 0H 2E per game!
Maybe this description will apply to the buds tonight as well.
Yep. Bucks and Raps conference finals.

It was clear after Game 3 that the Flames were pretty screwed and after Game 4 it was hopeless. Lack of discipline, effort, etc. Despite being vastly outplayed after Game 1, the Flames were actually in position to win both 2 and 4 until giving up late tying goals. A really good team probably would have had the fortitude to close those games out rather than roll over like they did.

I'm just a fan of good hockey, no matter who wins.

Sharks score 4 goals on a 5 minute powerplay to take the lead. Suddenly my trip to SJC next week is looking a lot better

Pro Parenting Tips From WTME - A New Segment
In honour of becoming a parent for the 7th time as I am expected to do later today (planned induction), I thought I'd start a weekly segment here in the lounge so that I may share my vast parenting experience with you fabulous people.
Before announcing to your very sensitive 5 year old boy that his fish is dead, make doubly sure that it isn't just having a long and impressive nap.
I learned this gem yesterday. I'm fairly certain my son will one day forgive me, but his mother may not. He cried for 2 hours and all for nothing.
Until next week, WTME

Aside from the buds, raps, and jays, I haven't kept track of other scores... that has to be some sort of record for most goals for the PP team on one 5-min major... at least in the playoffs... heck, even regular season?

What an awesome plan to have everyone in Toronto playing on the same night. Union station and the area was complete chaos at 10pm. And of course Jays and Leafs lost.

Should your child's hamster break it's back after falling off a ledge, do not tell your child that hamsters change colour when they die (the colour change occurred due to a soft hearted parent trying to home-euthanize a white hamster via box attached to car tail pipe). Said child may be convinced at the time, but when it comes up 20+ years later randomly with his fiance's family, you will DEFINITELY fall off the Christmas list that year.

ooooh, despite having no kids, can I pass one on in this vein?
