Crossed the 100K mark (now at 101,218 AQM) with an LHR-YYZ flight in PE last Friday. That flight also took me over the 20K AQD mark by $100. That will probably be it for the year for me this time round so just squeezed it in. No eUpgrades have appeared in my account yet (should get 20 more I think) - hoping they will have a 2020 expiry date since they were earned from flight on the 9th November.

I'm currently at 142K AQM, 99 AQS, and just over 30K AQD.

I think I'm mostly done work travel for the year, so I'm seriously considering an 8K MR to get the 150K bonus of 15K rollover AQM.

ooh .. very tempting. i got 2 long hauls to KUL and DOH left and some short trips to US. might have to do a 10k MR. the problem is for my dates to KUL, the Chinese airlines (Eastern/Southern) and Korean have J class fares for about $5k while AC is at $7k and above. cant justify that to our travel folks. I've used the safety and gong show excuse with the China based ones before, but that wont fly for Korean.

I'm at 247,499 AQM and haven't hit 20k AQD yet. The only way I will (and I don't care since I'm a US resident) is if AC opens up P space on flights that are Z9 in early January. Otherwise, I'm redeeming miles for my New Years trip.

I have a UA J fare next week that will get me above 250k with no AQD, and then the YYC do will give me another 2500 AQM or so, and a few hundred AQD.

Such a bottom feeder that it takes four stomachs to get it down.

That sucks. While I am not the most enthusiastic AC/Aeroplan supporter due to customer service, bizarre route/equipment decisions and so forth, I cannot complain about mileage accumulation over the years and I was also very lucky being a former Platinum Canadian flyer and having ALL of my miles come into Aeroplan as base miles towards MM etc. and I heard that was rare - and I earned a lot of those on non Star Alliance back when Canadian was One World and I did a lot with Qantas for example.

The big issue I see now is erosion of the value of an accumulated mile but also a challenge in meeting all the requirements for upper tier - and I doubt it gets better moving forward and hence why my looming retirement is not out of sync with my increasingly disillusioned perspective of the entire business.

YVR is a way better base than YYZ for good fares. I am always amazed what colleagues pay for their YYZ-SCL when I go YVR-YYZ-SCL and get a better deal on that overall route than do on the direct.

I have run into a lot of pax ex YVR on that YYZ/SCL flight, at least in J. Unlike me, I suspect they are in mining.

20 segments? I like your way of getting to SE way better than the way I do it

Just achieved $20K spend and 99 segments this weekend. I have been E75K for a few years.

Will AC grant me SE status right away, or do I have to wait till early next year?

I'm not sure if one would say I officially qualified for SE Nov 4th when the flight with the final necessary AQD happened or if I qualified today when my dashboard finally showed a misc adjustment for the AQD from that flight.

Either way I'm in. I only started heavy travel this year so I got to experience 35, 50, and 75. Looking forward to seeing how big a difference the SE100K designation brings.

Fairly certain I'll do 250k+ next year so I'll be crowding your lounges and J cabins for awhile folks. Sorry.

Incidentally, I have noticed a lot of SE on my AC flights lately. In some cases I lost count of the tags. I wonder if they'll push up the AQD portion to weed some of us bottom feeders out?
