Altitude site seems to be down for "maintenance" as of now.

I believe it will be released Friday AM

Maybe they're also taking control of AE flight redemptions back from Aimia

Wouldn't that be a nice present this holiday season. They can leave all non-flight redemptions where they are but bring flight redemptions back in house so we ALL get 24-hour competent (mostly) assistance.

Read through the PDF. Obviously happy they didn't cut anything else from the E35K program, and the 3 extra guest passes are a nice touch after cutting out guesting privileges, and will add to the growing pool of guest passes in this house. Was hoping we might see a few upgrades to the program after the introduction of AQD, but there's always next year.

I actually don't see any difference between the 2016 and 2017 benefits, at least at the E50K level. Some minor 'enhancements' for the lounge access at lower levels, but can't find anything else. What am I missing?

Did they even change the appearance of the cards?

It feels anticlimactic especially given all the drama with AQD.

On the Altitude page I see a new heading that I had not seen before and it is also highlighted in red on the page. Any one else have this?

Yup.

I wonder if someone realized having the promo codes and offers on Altitude members' individual page is more efficient than e-mail blasts as well as provides the opportunity for more specifically targeted promos.

Yes, looks like the benefits and select privilege bundles are pretty much the same, aside from the minor change to E35 lounge access that was announced previously.

Perhaps a minor quibble, but I was taking a look at the benefits for the lower tiers and noticed they advertise complimentary Preferred Seats on Latitude fares as a benefit for P25 and E35. Preferred Seats are complimentary on Latitude fares regardless of status, so this isn't actually a benefit of status. Basically P25 and E35 don't get any complimentary Preferred Seats above what someone with no status would get, so I think it's a bit misleading advertising this as an Altitude benefit.

nevermind

I've thought about that before too, but if you just leave it blank and only mention Flex/Tango/Aeroplan fares, it looks like P25K/E35K never get preferred seats, which is also a little misleading.

Or worse, E75K get free preferred seats on international Flex but not Latitude.
