The only difference I can see is that E35K get 3 lounge passes as a REGULAR privilege, in addition to the 3 available as a select privilege.

This would be to make up for the lack of family/guesting privileges, I assume.

My roommate would bail on AC (entirely) if he needed 20k for SE. It only works for me because I almost never travel domestically.

He recently booked what would effectively be cabotage if the connection were shorter. They're getting business from him that would otherwise go to UA/AA/DL.

Personally, I don't really care. I can hit AQD way more easily than AQM or AQS if you remove EYW, and I can hit AQD and AQS trivially with EYW. So make me hit 20k or don't, and it affects me much less than what I fly. I've actually been thinking about it, and if I they kill EYW, I will significantly change where I buy flights and where I use miles, but the result will be many airlines getting premium fares, and AC getting a couple flight passes. Cost equivalent to all my spend going to AC and my miles taking me everywhere else.

Does anyone know how the Maple Leaf Club discount works? Is it a promo code with an expiry date? Do you know if it is for immediate use, or if it can be saved until the end of the year?

I'm thinking it might be good to hold onto in case I don't requalify next year.
